  • I wonder if God will forgive us for the wicked we have all done.

  • most people simply couldn't believe that another plane had crashed, it was just too horrible and they may have thought that it was a police helicopter simply circling the buildings, there were loads

lay off her ok, 9/11 was shocking for everyone and some events were purely unbelievable

  • So they were giving a live feed of the second plane crash and they couldn't confirm it?

  • How did she not see the 2nd plane! Blind bitch lol

  • Sorry, but why are some people giving the newsreader a hard time? She wasn't at the site, she was simply reading what came up on the teleprompter in a studio thousands of miles away. Why does this make her the 'baddie' in this? In the minutes after the attack no-one would've had access to much detail which were filtering through as those involved were becoming increasingly aware of the events. She did her job, simple as that.

  • At 5:05 - "there are more explosions further down the building". Make up your own mind...

  • The Illuminati signature... and it was only the beginning.

  • how is there 2 holes if 1 plane hit and it didnt go completely through? set up

  • @MegaCrustyMuffin She only saw two sides of the building as shown and it looked like two holes to her. At 3:50 on the left face you can see some of the outer casings of the steel was off and above that, dark smoke billowing out which she mistook for a hole. Around the corner on the south face that we can't see there was an exit hole that the plane made. Or parts of the plane made.

  • Only 10 years ago and the news back then looks so old fashioned

  • I'm not defending this awful presenter, but this was taken from BBC World, which is a satellite channel only available OUTSIDE the UK. The domestic coverage of the same event was far, far better and more accurate.

  • @TheE1PRO Not really! It was typically cold and heartless. Iike an english funeral

  • @Vasilouxxx Oh dear, what have you got against the English? And what does that have to do with this?! I watched this occur live on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in the UK on 9/11 and all three channels handled the shocking content extremely well, considering tghe circumstances and the various theories being banded about at the time.

  • @ghandilivesinme they didnt know on the day...

  • Why does is say from 8:54am to 9:08am but the videos only 10 minutes long????

  • Wow. It's strange watching foreign coverage of that day. I've only seen US coverage before.

  • Wow the worst presenter ever for such a huge event.

  • @christhetramp Lets see you do better with little information

  • took a long time for BBC to notice the 2nd crash

  • Whats that at 00:36, theres a little black thing moving out of the smoke going to the right of the screen?

  • @moultage Was a news helecopter flying past. Theres another one about 4 minutes in

  • @chrisftw92 Oh I posted the message before i watched that next bit

  • @moultage its called a helicopter...

  • @michcar279 I know that you fuck tard, if you would of scrolled down and read my last comment you would realise why i wondered at first you sarcy prick

  • well they knew it was a result of a plane crash for the first tower before some of our own networks did. And they also were able to locate a correspondent at ground level which I believe none of our major networks had. They must not have been looking at the live feed while they were reporting for the second impact which is dumb. You would think they would've reviewed the feed pretty quick once the other tower caught fire.

  • I'm from the UK and I apologise for the BBC's failure to notice the 2nd plane hitting.

Not all Brits are retarded lol...just some like this presenter.

  • I'm an American and wanted to see if the BBC had better coverage of the crashes than our media. Clearly not.

  • @taylor6string BBC web site had outstanding coverage though.

  • @autodrivex i love the brits.

  • omg i totally remember watching this exact footage 10 years ago

  • She quite the idiot she says that the one plane caused both to go into flames when she saw live the second one hit and doesn't say it was 2 planes for like 4 minutes and double plane accident what a SHIT Reporter

  • 4:53 :o

  • bbc world service is not the same as the national news channel, at the time as you can see it wasnt even fully live, shes reading off an updating teleprompt not watching a live screen as cnn, abc etc reporters were and as the national bbc would have been doing

  • theres people never expected the second plane its easy for you to say i can't believe they missed it at the time its different also BBC have the right info as far as a passenger jet unlike some News channels in the US saying its was a cargo plane or privet

  • YOU TIT

  • Is she still working for BBC? What a perspicacity!!!!

  • The news anchor seems like a clueless c#nt.

  • Hey morons, it's obvious she wasn't watching the live footage at the time of the crash.

  • Good job I have eyes. Pretty shambolic reporting, they didn't even say anything about the obvious second explosion.

  • How can anyone MISS that second plane....she must be blind =/

  • When i was younger 9 11 use to be on the news all the time and one day I went up to the TV and smacked the screen haha !

  • @TheHauntedBusters

Do you it was funny ? You need a brain

  • @melendes1966 First whatever you said does not make sense and secondly i was like 4 years old

  • @TheHauntedBusters

    correction

Do you THINK it was funny ? You need a brain

  • @melendes1966 I WAS A FUCKING KID THEN, DO YOU REALLY THINK I UNDERSTOOD WHAT HAPPENED THEN oh and i need a brain i think you need a brain! and btw i don't think its funny

  • @TheHauntedBusters

I understand Marcel I was joking lol

  • @melendes1966 Who's Marcel?

  • @TheHauntedBusters

You are Marcel isn't it ?

  • @melendes1966 No, I'm a girl :)

  • @TheHauntedBusters

    ok miss

  • @TheHauntedBusters That's hilarious - you should tell that story to your grandkids.

  • @mckaysam1 Haha Yeah :D

  • @TheHauntedBusters I was being sarcastic.

  • @mckaysam1 I was jokin

  • 5:00 LISTEN "THERE R MORE EXPLOSIONS FURTHER DOWN THE BUILDING"

  • Well, actually no there were plenty of fatalities... 295 Marsh employees and 60 contractors died just at that point AA 11 crashed. But this is the trouble with breaking news; info only drip feeds especially at times like this... RIP.

  • For the world's biggest news organisation I would have expected much more for covering the event which practically shaped the modern world. Who could possibly miss the second plane?

  • They are just autocue readers. They're not half as intelligent as they are supposed to be.

  • fucking hell.I'm utterly ashamed to be british... "I think it went through one tower and the debris has affected the other on" fucking idiots

  • @jakechitty1 Don't be ashamed. I live less than 100 miles from the WTC and it took me some time to get my head around what had happened. It just goes to show how people react to something that is almost beyond imagining. The presenters here were looking right at what was happening yet couldn't recognize it for what it was. Among other things there was a lot of confusion and disbelief all around, that day.

  • wats the news readers name??

  • "the second building seems to be on fire". Yeah right, do you think maybe that jet plane slamming into it caused it?

  • WTF lady did you not see that big plane crash into the building?

  • @ih8suvz i know right

  • stupid bitch, no wonder she got fired

  • What a stupid bitch

  • How the hell did she not see the second plane crashing?

  • I'm living in holland and that day we watched to the dutch news, bbc and the german channels, only the germans where looking to their own video i guess, because they directly said that they just saw a second plane flying in, like 10 sec after it happend, I guess the reporters where watching it, cause they where really chocked when that happend and directly stopped with their speech, like everybody at home they just watched and couldn't believe that that just happend live...

  • You are all idiots. This was back in 2001. Tech wasnt super amazing back then compared with today

  • @NGC773

really, was it that long ago? i remember in year 5 of historic events when this happened. I squeezed something along the lines of 'terrorists bomb world trade centre''

i cannot believe how much we have progressed since i was a child =(

  • @NGC773 Among large corporations and government agencies, they had the exact same mind boggling stuff they have today. The only real difference is the revisions of software. Large corporations and government agencies are way ahead of the curb, and new stuff is being developed all the time, it just takes forever for it to be perfected, go mainstream and catch on.

  • I didn't know that other people, especially in Europe, even cared about this event.

  • @desertedsoulx Over 300 Britons were killed in this. I think we care.

  • @wahaya2 That and the fact that it meant we had to go to war.

  • she sure does keep her cool.

  • Here's the thing. Reporters in a studio may not be watching the feed. Which is what I assume is the case with this female anchor. My pops used to work for CBS in NY. The studio has green/blue screens behind, the feeds are rarely seen by the actual anchors.

  • A double plane accident? For one plane to hit the World Trade Centre is unfortunate; for two to hit looks like terrorism.

  • this is bizarre. don't they have a whole crew of people watching their own footage?

  • @quietsheep I know!

  • "Major possible aircrash in the US" This poor lady clearly can't see the video everyone is watching.

  • These guys are pretty thick! They don't even see the second crash on their own film and then, ~7 minutes later, call it a double plane accident.

  • @ChicagoCane100 yeah that's because the news reporters in the news station aren't watching the video.. they're reporting whats on their teleprompter.

  • @ChicagoCane100 It's BBC what do you expect...they are a bit slow...mentally.

  • @ChicagoCane100 Some people just didn't immediately realize it was a terrorist attack.

  • @ChicagoCane100

oh come on! you're WAY too critical. they DID get the fact that the WTC was one of NY's tallest buildings. THAT'S pretty good, right?

  • @ChicagoCane100 The BBC is an impartial journalistic organisation. Without confirmation they are unable to claim that it is anything other than an accident, regardless of how obvious it may seem.

  • When this happened i was 8 and did not fully grip the severity of this event and watching it now ALWAYS gives me goosebumps,...may my full condolences go 2 every1 effected by this disaster and may all victims R.I.P

  • This is an American speaking and i lived through 9/11 and i have to day that it was like a living hell watching these innocent people dying at the hands of the sub-human terrorists. it truly was absolutely horrible :'(

  • *I was only 6 years old dont judge me for crying

  • Im an English 15 year old, and remember watching this exact broadcast. I was crying and yelling at the telly because they didnt even realise the 2nd plane hit when it was shown clearly on the T.V!! What a national embarresment!

  • im english... and this is just an embarrassment, an absolute embarrassment. what a retard she is, seriously, no wonder the americans make fun of us.

  • @bestgrimbarianever No, the same thing happened over here in America. It's cool. I think it's because the reporters aren't looking at the footage the whole time, but the prompter or something.

  • @TheLaurenkent oh yeah i know that, its not the fact that theyre not lookin at the screen, its just the way she reports the whole thing, it is so bad :/ she is completely devoid of any emotion, and repeats herself over and over again. worst reporting ive ever seen to be honest.

  • @bestgrimbarianever theres many 9/11 in iraq, africa, afghanistan cause by u.

  • @FBX100 Great recruitment ad mate ;)

  • Comment removed

  • "a double plane accident"...Really now?

  • When they first reported the first plane crash, they soon went to sports news in the NFL. Horrendous reporting.

  • @10:21 "A double plane accident" Really? Really? Still an accident. After seeing the second plane hit the second tower, and still calling it an accident, is beyond belief. I can honestly say, wherever she got her broadcast journalism degree, she should return it immediately. And never show her face in public again. Stupid cunt. What an embarrassment

  • @whb786 Was just thinking the same thing, accident. Thick as shit

  • Horrendous reporting. They should've been fired after this. Just awful

  • omg second plane

    scary !

  • .. kinda upbeat voice! :/

  • they talk about the possibility that it was debris that may have caused the second building to be on fire when at 4:52 they can actually see the second plane impact

  • ummmm helloooooo.....second plane crash

  • @TheFeebleKeeble They're not watching the screens live.

  • @TheFeebleKeeble She did actually falter there... when the second plane crash happened. I'm not sure she was allowed to divert from her script, but if she had been allowed to, I think she would have commented on it.

  • @TheFeebleKeeble she cant see the live pictures but I dunno about the other guy

  • awful coverage

  • my goodness, was no one looking at the live stream they were showing!

  • Even worse is the fact that after the 2nd plane hit, the stupid woman referred to it as a second 'accident'. These people are paid £100 000 per annum to talk nonsense. BBC is a state owned organisation so their wages come from the gullible British taxpayer.

  • @Rightist2

The BBC isn't a state owned organisation, and the reporters wages come from people paying for a TV licence, not the tax payer's money. .

  • Typically overly cautious politically correct broadcasting from the BBC. Not only do they miss clear footage of helicopters buzzing round and round the towers after the North Tower 1 was hit, but they go on to make the absurd claim that there are no helicopters several times. They also miss clear footage of the 2nd plane crashing into the south tower. Surely in a studio full of people someone must have been watching what they were broascasting. Attention to detail BBC!

  • Never seen this before (we don't get BBC world in the UK - thank God). What the hell was this idiot woman on? I think she must have been quietly fired after this - and a good thing too. Totally bloody hopeless. To manage to be a total global embarrassment in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time is quite an achievement.

  • I thought the BBC was highly professional 24/7 until I seen this crap! I've never watched "BBC world" or seen this woman before or since. Maybe this was just shown abroad locally on small staff salary budgets. This geek looked like she was ready for nothing more than politics and traffic info on her teleprompter.

  • I have to agree 'double plane accident'. The dumbest thing I have heard. Also why did no one tell her about the second plane hitting if she was too busy to see it herself

  • these people fucking SUCK.

"and we're getting reports that a man named Jesus has been crucified.... thats the latest information we've got.... man we're so fast"

  • "double plane accident" WTF!!!

  • I don't understand all the hostility to the reporters. If you watch the other coverage (CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS) there was as much confused reporting and false information. The reporters that day got often conflicting, false and confusing reports. Remember when it was reported a car bomb exploded on the National Mall, and it was a small plane that hit the building? I personally applaud all the news agencies that day for their professionalism.

  • @julesjones423 yes, some people don't realize they are sitting infront of a camera and reading out reports from papers, they aren't commentating from the tv they are reporting. And if they happen to be be looking at a screen and see something like this happen live the last thing they do is panic and freak out on air because they will probably get the sack for un-professionalism

  • they make the event boring!!

  • Man Anna Ford Missed this report on this day on the day she did the one oclock news.

  • double plane accident she said, idoit.

  • @jw4wvu Thank you I was just about to post that when I saw yours.

  • @Meda01 , Your welcome, Im sure like me you have heard some dumb things said from the media, but that is one of the most ridiculus commets I have ever heard.

  • theres a helicopter flying through the smoke?

  • She's reading a Teliprompter, it's not her fault. And even if it was her fault, she's human. We all have made mistakes one time or another in life. Give her a break =)

  • The ladie didn't even realise that the second plane hit! Thank you UK for being concerned about this horrible day hear in the States!

  • Sorry to say it but the BBC really dropped the ball on reporting. When the second plane hit you could hear people react in the studio and the woman even referenced it but they never continued to investigate or even look at their own footage, which clearly showed a second impact. Ugh. BBC, wtf? lol I feel let down.

  • failed news reporters

  • meanwhile, whilst i'm talking there is another plain crashing into the tower, we'll get onto that in a moment...

  • made for cracking tele didnt it. should of won a BAFTA

  • @liampw20

    and you're a cunt

  • @7.23 - dear god. one plane went through and hit the second tower?? did he really say that?? Jesus. Worst reporting ever. How did they not see the pictures??? Unreal.

In fairness, that news anchor is dreadful too......

  • this woman is one fucking shit reporter.

  • God awful reporting.

  • @review1011 It's better than CNN's.

  • I remember watching this.

  • I was 5 year old when this happened, it changed me and made me become a lot more aware of what goes on in the world.

  • Terrible fucking reporting. Sheesh

  • 5:37 "and it looks as if both buildings are on fire!" did you not see the giant plane that hit the second tower 10 seconds ago?

"it looks as if the first plane went through and the debris is affecting the other tower. at this time there are no signs of helocopters around the towers."

DID YOU NOT SEE THAT GIANT PLANT HIT THE SECOND TOWER.

and if you just look at your footage for once you'd see an occasional helicopter flying close to the tower. but you'd probably just report that it's giant bird.

  • Comment removed

  • @Lighthouse713 WTF? WHOS THIS ASSHOLE?

  • @Lighthouse713 ANOTHER EXPOSIANNNNN??? DOWN THE SAME BUILDINGZ?

    WTF? SPEAK ENGLISHHHHH

  • @Lighthouse713 FIRE DOWN 20 STORIES DOWN THE BILDING??? WHICH WAY?

MOISTURE COMING DOWN THE BUILDING? ,WTF? ITS RAINING?OH I KNOW ITS FIRE WATER!

  • This makes me embarassed to be British. Worst reporting ever.

  • @airdryr WTF? THE WTC IS RAINING WATER??? CMON!

  • God forgive my childish innocence. I was six when this happened, and they put this on in our school, and we all thought it was a film and got excited until a few of us realised it was something very very bad... one of my friends even shouted COOL! when the second plane hit. It's also a bit silly how they show the second plane hitting, and then they ignore it, then talk about it minutes later and replay it.

  • @The6thSimpson I came home (i was 8) and was sick of it because this was on every channel and they kept repaying the same footage over and over again.

  • The English and thier delayed reactions. Take world war 2, Germany bombs London, "oh look we just got bombed, tea anyone".

  • @jk1153 that's a bizarre comment from an American, as you had a famously late entry to WW2. I think you'll find we delcared war on them as soon as they entered Poland, whereas you sat back and let them kill half of europe before you got involved

  • @jk1153

fuck you asshole. our jounalists may be absolute retards, but USA journalists aren't much better. just look at the abundance of them taking ages to register the second hit on channels like CBS. journalists tend to be inept idiots anyway. our soldiers on the hand are awesome.

  • she was awful

  • @mrjimbeam2009 To be fair, this was BBC News 24, 2pm, before Freeveiw and before most people had Sky. She was probably only one step above the work experience kid. She'd have never expected to suddenly be in the middle of the biggest news story of a generation.

  • How did they not see the giant airliner coming in from the right side of the screen and hitting the tower? And they still called it an accident after TWO planes hit? Bad reporting

  • @senrat94 Simply because no one was looking for it. The second plane and explosion came as a huge shock, remember at this time the reports of the first plane were still unsubstantiated. They didn't realise that the crash was caught on camara.

The world was utterly surprised by this. The assuption that this was an accident was natural as the thought of someone purposefully crashing planes into a building was unthought of. Some networks suggested maybe a computer navigation fault was to blame.

  • loool i can't believe they thought one of the planes went through the north tower and hit the south tower, what blind reporters.

  • This is not the BBC UK coverage, this is the BBC World coverage. Different presenter and information. It was covered by BBC News 24 and BBC Breakfast News in the UK with their usual presenting team. Just thought I would add that information.

  • Thick bastard reporters! i was ill and had a day off work the day this happened,i watched it unfold live from the first couple of minutes after the first plane hit...i watched it with 2 other people...we all knew what we saw as soon as it happened..infact my nephew said "whats that other plane doing?"..just before it hit! how come these "reporters" dont know what they see!? same with the sky news coverage too!...how much are they getting paid?!! terrible reporting!

  • Okay I'll admit I'm no expert and know nothhing on it but how does a plane hit top of one building and effect the middle of another that's the same size. That's basically what the guy said.

  • @ResidentPinto you were correct 1st time. This was 13:46 (5 hours ahead of New York) when it all started.

  • @p0ab

Okay I thought so. Thanks for confirming. :]

  • i remember this being after school, so it was around 3:20pm

  • OMG, the writing at 9:02

  • Unbelievable. The BBC. They saw the second plane hit and just ignored it. A few minutes later, one of the anchors suggest that the second building on fire could be the result of the first plane!! People in the newsroom don't look at the screen??
