I hope Objectivists do not start calling people who believe in God "nuts". I don't care if someone believes in God -- I care about their political philosophy. One can be religious and promote a strictly limited government. Alienating the largest and most active group (Evangelical Christians) who is fighting against marxism is this country is stupid.
I know Glenn Beck is a religous nut (mormon) and he wants to be just as controling as dems in certain areas of personal liberty ( gaymarriage, reproductive rights, and drug use), but I gotta give him Kudos for bringing objectivism to the public.
Personally, I enjoy the Glenn Beck interviews with Yaron Brook and Binswanger. Partly because Glenn Beck's energy is infectious and he's entertaining, but mainly because he is giving air time for spokesman from the Ayn Rand Institute, and that is a step in the right direction to getting these ideas out to the public.
Congratulations to Harry Binswanger for a great interview. He was calm, made his points clearly, and, amazingly, avoided sounded like he had talking points. He had arresting observations.
Harry B did a great job, neither defensive nor dogmatic. The take-away for me was the need for a return to Individual Rights, largely because Beck responded so well to it.
Glenn Beck is too much of a clown for me, and he seems to only understand the money angle and not moral angle. But at least he let Dr. Binswanger say what needed to be said without cutting him off (too much).
That's exactly what I think too. He doesn't seem to understand the underlying reasons for the things he is saying. But Dr. Binswanger, of course, was spot on.
Great to see Binswanger on the show! Hope he becomes a regular. He can condense ideas down to essentials and express them in the short amount of time allotted.
thanks for posting!

Logic like a well-callibrated riverter's gun. Thank you, Glenn Beck, for making a mind like Dr. Binswanger available to us.

People who listen to this interview and agree are the ones who are intelligent.

AuntGrace -- just going by this clip, that's not right. He is endorsing individual rights here.

It's nice to see that GB, unlike other people who interview Objectivists, is not at all hostile or cynical.

Wow, Binswanger is on the set. Never expected that! :-)

Binswanger's voice is great; he sounds a bit like Mr. Rogers.
