  • @NinaGiavonni assuming you arent' a POE and being sarcastic, it's very ugly in your world,

That cop was a bully and a wussy. A 200 pound man beating up on a little old lady? What was she going to do? Attack him with her dentures?

  • @booley I'm not saying it was right. I'm just saying it's really easy to play armchair quarterback when we're not directly involved.

And I'm assuming you're a judgemental jackass internet bully here simply because you don't agree with me.

  • @AngelusDlion I dont' exactly need to armchair quarterback as it's not exactly as if I am unfamiliar with 72 year old grand mothers and your average cop (yes even the stereotypical fat ones.)

And apparently even you agree since here you are admitting you don't think it was right either.

Now if I seem mean, it's not because you disagree with me. It's because if you are going to make an argument (for or against mine) then make it make some damn sense.

  • Was anyone ever able to obtain the video of this incident from the police?

  • Notice the 'fair' reporting that Fox is so good at!! She gets about 20 secs on a 2 min report & the presenter speaks over her for some of that

In comparison the officer’s version gets a lot more airtime

Notice too how the reporter says she was speeding at a 'dangerous' part of the road - subliminal effect

How dangerous can a slight 72 yr old woman be? Aren't tazers intended for criminals presenting a serious threat to the police or someone else - or is everyone considered fair game?

  • Unlawful tasering should be a new law.

  • GRANDMA: "It was like an electric shock" pay the man Shirley

  • Oh, how I'd love to see the video! I'm so glad that so many cops have dash cams. That video is for everyone's protection!

  • The officer is a pretty big guy so if he would of tried to use force against grandma. He would probably get charged for excessive force of use. So the cop did a good job by being calm tazing grandma. Good Job Officer, grandma is just going to waste her money getting attorneys sorry to say

  • An old man shot and killed a state trooper on a regular traffic stop. Never under estimate anyone. Stupid old lady. By her not signing the citation, the officer SHALL arrest the suspect and take them before a magistrate. (penal CODE) By not signing the citation she is automatically is saying that she Fails to appear in court. While placing her under arrest the lady resisted and officer used as much force as necessary but no greater to take grandma down.

  • Would he have beat her with a baton for the same thing?

  • Granny had a multi orgasm, officer should have a medal for reviving granny's sexlife.

  • Uh, everyone goes 10 to 15 over on 71. It's the flow of traffic. Ridiculous.

  • She needed to be tasered for her safety and the officers safety - end of story.

  • pussy american cops is right . he could have put her in a Chokehold and grabbed her ass cheeks.

  • Ya'll better wake up because they are going after my grandmother. What are ya'll gonna do sit and watch her die too? Socialism is bad and ya'll need to understand that. How do ya'll expect to win when ya'll don't help your leaders? All it takes is a few people to step up and do something about it. STOP WATCHING WHILE ALL OF THIS IS GOING ON!

  • If she refused to sign a traffic infraction, then she will be arrested. She SHOULD have simply signed the ticket and been on her way.

  • Look at the dash cam (in related videos). She's a liar... she DID pull away from him... she DID resist.

  • The use of force eqivilent to a taser in my state is being struck with a police baton. Pick your choice. I'd rather get hit with Taser any day of the week.

Wow, if I had no life, I suppose I would blog about how the police suck on youtube all day long, too.

  • Comment removed

  • The cop claims he was forced to defend himself because Kathryn Winkfein got violent in her refusal to sign the ticket.

    lol pussy american cops

  • of course the cops are gonna have each others back.A GRANDMA BEING AGGRESSIVE?She must of strong armed you huh fat fuck cop?He should be arrested for abusing a elderly woman.

  • "She got violent"

Look at her, you f*cking pig....Grandmothers don't get violent.

Abusive, power hungry inbred Pigs with to much authority from the Fed. government....well that's another story,

  • of course fox wont get that footage, they cant even get their facts straight. that woman was indeed combative and resistant, used profanity, and even DARED the officer to tase him, and requested to take her to jail. find the footage, and watch.

  • This woman is an old school teacher. Hell, she has been metering out her on type of justice without restraint since before even I was in school. Who knows how many kids have had to have counciling because of her abuse in the class room. Hell, I'd like to go back in time and taze a few of old grouchy bitches myself.

The first time she was interview by the media, they only had a transcript of the dashcam. She said it was ALL lies before she found out she had been videoed.

    Kudos to the cop.

  • I was once verbally attacked by an abusive female once while working... strangely I didn't feel any desire to taser her even when she threatened to sic her boyfriend on me to cause physical harm. And this old woman is way older than the woman I met... hmmm... are old women danger to public safety?

(I missed the 80's or 90's action movie where Chuck Norris or Steven Seagal fought off a brutal gang of little old ladies and their foul mouths... no, really, are foul mouthed old ladies dangerous!)

  • you can see the dash camera on the right under "Related Videos"

looks like the cops got it right.

  • it felt like an electric shock! haaha

  • Fucking twats!! .....Look at the size of that fat fuck copper!!.. Lucky the Grandma didn't have a 50 CAL Hand gum in her pocket!! :(

  • okay can i see the dash camera video??

  • F you mccain, have another don-nut you fat f*ck.

  • These septenegarians are dangerous..!

Taze them ..its the only way to be sure !

    Cops are so brave.......

  • at :50.....they conveniently dubbed out her speed to make us think she was only going 15 over.....NICE.

  • one hardcore old woman

  • She deserved it.

Do you agree with this statement? Give + or -!

    Come on youtubers!

  • Well a Cop did it so I am sure the grandmother deserved to have thousands of volts of electricity sent through her body.

Somehow. I mean we all know how fast and superhumanly strong 72 year old women are. Clearly there was no other way for this 200 plus pound deputy to restrain her.

  • @booley You have never dealt with an angry old woman haven't you... just because they look frail does not mean they are.

also wold you rather have a cop like that only have lethal force at his disposal?

  • @AngelusDlion there aren't that many 72 grandmothers who can do martial arts.

I am assuming you are kidding as your post is silly.

  • Very one sided I would like to know more!

  • WOW lol. Excessive force.

  • And nothing of value (to the U.S) was lost.

  • Oh wait, this is old. Damn was told this just happened on a site lol.

Looks like she's cool then. My point still stands, to those who ARE guilty.

  • "Its like an electric shock"

No shit. Sorry, but they have dash cams, so she's fucked if what was said is true. Better you get shocked then have some 200 pound deputy break every bone in your body trying to get you under control. No one is above the law, doesn't matter if your old or not. I do illegal shit because I dont think it should be illegal, but at least I know if I get caught not to fight the officer over it. Just stupid.

  • you have to remember, the vehicle has not been searched yet, there could be a gun or other deadly weapon in the car. she tries to get back to the car. she dared him twice to take her to jail, then dared him twice to taser her, then jerked away from him when he went to put the handcuffs on her. it is simple. obey the law, you will be on your way. screw up like she did, and you get to eat dirt or pavement from a taser rendering you motionless. all she had to do was sign the ticket.

  • exactly, i hate to say this but that grandma got what she deserve

  • Tasers are such a cowardly tool. They make me lose any respect for police.

  • BRAUTIGAN1: Police BEHAVIOR made me lose any respect for police.

  • maybe hes too fat to take care of it any other way!!! look at the size of the guy,,like how many donuts do ya need to eat!!!!waht a loser!!!!

  • wow, real tuff guy. LOSER

  • Unless she had a gun, there is no way a 72 yr old woman is in any way a threat to a full grown 200lb man. The cop just took the easy way out by tazing her.

  • but if she isent tasered she wouldve kept resisting

  • What ever happened to grab the ladies hand put a cuff on it, grab the other and repeat. How weak is this cop.

  • its not about beening weak, its just faster and more efficient, i would waste any time on that grandma

  • cop looks like a bloated, hick.... how can some incompetent loser like this become a law enforcement official?

  • ok, if u r that constable and ur giving the grandma a ticket but she refuses to sign it, what would u do? keep arguing with her? i'd taser her a cuple more times

  • big talk from an uneducated, unemployed 20's something loser living at mommy and daddy's house who is lazy, sits around stuffing his gut with junk food.

regardless of signing a summons or not, it is still effectuate.

and your response would probably get you in the same trouble as this cop eventually got in: he is now fired, was successfully sued, his wife eventually left him... all because he felt the need to torture a weaker human being, because he is pissed about his small penis, like you

  • im not even going to say anything, but i will say this WHY WOULD YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HIS PENIS??!! u r wrong..

  • we dont need no edjewcation?

  • This lady was clearly in the wrong. This is not 1930's when elderly white women could say and do as they chose. Police Officers have much to do and her abuse was what she subjected unto herself. The law is here for everyone to honor.

  • 1:25, only got a glimpse but that reporter is hOt.

  • That fucking old bitch copped a nasty attitude! Too bad she didn't get run over--she's not long for this earth anyway. Who cares if you're 72 years old, you nasty cunt!!! Don't be combative with a police officer, or you're gonna get in trouble!!! Serves you right!!!

  • don't you love how the police always and everytime justify any behavior,no matter how bad,worst...unbelievable sick it is? ? ? If the woman would have died because being tasered, they still would hae justified it....Not one single grandma in europe would Never EVER get tassed for something pathetic like that...she was a threat? a danger? a woman thats about to turn 70 years old? ? ? only in dumb america

  • 2000+ years ago Jesus got Crucified on a legal technicality - He Healed On A Sunday.

On the cross he had two criminals beside him. One jeered at his suffering. The other one told him to Shut Up n Show compassion to the man.

Jesus turned round n said to him. "Today you will sit with me in Paradise.

Don't wish the cop anything except that he manages to Grow Up.

Bet his Superior loved him when he got back? OK I'll stand out front n look an idiot. But forget yr leave n overtime.

  • i hope this "hero" gets his face shot off.

  • Who cares about the tasering??

That reporter Keri Bellacosa is smokin` hot !!!!

  • I find it incredibly hard to believe that this officer felt as though he was in any physical danger, which is the only reason for drawing any weapon. If it's true that he tazered her twice he should be fired and thrown in jail for attempted murder - that dose of volts could easily kill a 72 year old, esp. right next to the heart.

  • Some tosser here using the poof name justin timberlake claims the officer in the video who relates the story in the first person is not the actual cop concerned. What sort of a cunt defends pigs on that basis, come to think of it what sort of cunt calls himself justin timberlake ?

  • "Was it appropriate for your officer to use a taser?"

    ... "Yes"...

    2:00 <--- Quote

... WTF?!!?! Will cops defend cops no matter WHAT they do?

  • Bottom line. It does not take a taser to take down an old woman. If she's in the wrong, yes, cuff her and jail her...but a taser can be very serious for some people. Travis County police recently killed a young man with a taser because it stopped his heart. All I'm saying is that tasing CAN BE a dangerous thing and SHOULD only be used in extreme situations.

  • LoL and old lady being tasered, "don't tase me sunny.."

  • Look at her! No matter how much she was fighting they wouldn't need a taser to restrain her. I've lived in Austin all my life and Travis and Williamson county police are getting scary.

  • There have been more and more police being hired out of L.A. They are used to much more hardcore situations and are not used to Austin. It's truly disturbing.

  • Oh Please! This is local crap news which follows the same format as every other piece-of-crap media station around the country.

    The LAW vs Old Grandma

Big Bad Town Hall vs Struggling Farmer

    UPN9 On Your Side

    The Family Pet

    Wasn't Hitler a Grand Father?

So if you are old you can break the law and not suffer consequence?

  • Why do liberalists and do-gooders always try and justify this kind of behaviour? By claiming she was standing up to oppression or some other lame shit?

Lets look at the facts, he used NONE LEATHAL force to restrain someone who refused to accept the democratically attained Law&Order lives under the safety off.

He could have just got his baton out and beat her, or wrestled her to the ground and restrained her or shot her. He didnt he followed the law.

Should he have just let her go? No

  • Liberal = Liberty. When is the last time you read the bottom of the Statue of Liberty.

    Liberty standing on Stability

Do-gooders =Yes = Doing Good - Opposite of Doing BAD.

The people that this state, nation and world stand on

Do you want your haridresser , car mechanic, doctor, nurse, dentist to do a good job?

Depends on him being A Do-Gooder.

You are a Bit Daft with your arguements like all idiots.

  • Should he have let her go?

No need for arrest. She got irrate for being caught speeding. Tha is norma. She is not going anywhere. Except walking round her car on a busy highway. Wont be going far. If person does not sing - accept penalty. No problem send it in post with time to appeal or to pay $X in an amount of time. That is it. No need. If she rips up the ticket can still send her another one. How much time did this take? Could have got 5 more ticket in that time.

  • You clearly have no idea what a do-gooder is:

A liberalist or do-gooder is someone typically who is anti-establishmentist or is anti-authority. Liberalists and do-gooders like you are people who place freedom of choice above law&order. This woman broke the law she was abusive and uncooperative

Using your own example if you went to the "dentist" or "hairdresser" and started shouting and being abusive etc... would you expect them to do the same job as the cooperative person in the next seat?

  • Chap

I do not know any Do Gooder who is anti establishment as many work in that establishment. They want establishment to serve the public. I have worked in Forensic, Ran severe challenging behaviour unit I was not the soft choice. But achieved with a high reduction in incidents. I follow Ms Molly Middlehurst (My Deputy Head teacher) who said she neve raised her voice, or her hand or took away a person's self respect or dignity to get their respect.(Ex Officer) She could do it. and so can I.

  • So basically what your saying is people like law enforcement officers and social care workers etc... should allow themselves to be verbal and physical punchbags but as long as they dont retaliate, they may maintain their moral highground? I simply dont agree

This Woman regardless of her age, was obnoxious and aggressive to the cop long before he pulled her door open (there is the original full video out there, have a look)

She is perhaps used to getting her own way with people due to her age

  • your an asshole. he could of just cuffed her bud! i know you and the cop would have a hard time cuffing a 72 year old woman. but you and the cop are both pussy's! but normal man could hand cuff a 72 year old woman. i bet you got little girl arms don't ya? i bet you pee siting down don't ya? i bet you masterbate to a picture of sean hannity don't ya?

  • gipper10: all round e-thug and internet tough guy!

We all salue you gipper10, YOU ROCK!

  • She's a lying fucking bitch, the video showed she was everythi0ng she denied.

Its not your ass being pushed into the main road. the old got what she deserved and she had chance after chance.

Old people moan about being discriminated against, but she clearly tried to use he old age as a weapon to get out of something.

I say the shock did her good. She'll be dead in a few years anyway. This will be something to rememebr her by as I doubt she has done anything else with her life. LIAR

  • Your an idiot,. nuff sad

  • Put the this guys next shift duty in Tianemen Square. This is why people uprise n contest the state in other countries. Misuse of power n laws by Petty Immature Dictators. You moved America while we stayed home had revolutions n chopped their heads off. Same position. He cannot deal with situation. tazers not for minor disputes Intial reaction is shock, disbeief & anger. Wait a few minutes Always calms down n then they can listen to sense Probably slipped into speed of traffic - easy done.

  • Quote:

"I doubt she has done anything else with her life"

She probably managed not to develop a Bitter and Twisted Heart or the need to enjoy pain being inficted on others.

Not much i grant you. But something i suggest you start with. may take all your life to achieve. But mat cause others to emulate you and copy and practise. Then who knows we may get back a society in another 50 years time. Through the practise of thise generation not the one which has gone.

  • I'm not bitter or twisted nor do I enjoy seeing people being hurt.

Do you just elevate people to false things to give yourself an argument.

I'm simply tired and pissed off at cops getting a tough time for simply doing their job.

The woman did everything to deserve it and then lied afterwards.

I have no sympathy for people like this." all of this is a lie she said".

No dear, you're a lying old bag who got what she deserved. Good riddance.

  • I have a last resort sollution and intervention in case of attack, assualt, threat or intimidation. It is instant, sharp pain. total shock but no long lasting harm. So of no real negative effect of the person.

It is called A KICK IN THE BALLS

I will now use it for every minor indiscretion or act of disobedience -not taking out the trash, toilet lid up, leaving the washing up, No more talking or patience or loving kindness while you get over the shock. Just one good kick. Analogy over.

  • Hang on jbkent60 you previously said that people should be like your old Dep head teacher and never have to get violent or even raise their voices, yet you then say your willing to kick someone in the balls in a "last resort solution" ........ then say its for every minor indecretion

So you youve just contradicted yourself over the course of several posts HAHAHAHA and you say my argument seems daft.

May I suggest you stop now jbkent60 before you make yourself look even more fucking stupid

  • Chap

It is called Irony. (I am English) saying one thing to get the opposite reaction. Using an analogy - similar situation. We had the cane at school but never saw it becasue the teachers were so good. Tazers were for extreme situations - not everyday agitation and parking tickets.

So far I have never kicked anyone in the balls (Phew) but managed things othewise. I have not contradicted myself but used an analogy as an ironic example. This man probably does not manage his home situations well.

  • I have always been taught that intelligent stable and peaceful people do not resort to violence but use other methods.

Only undeveloped stupid people who cannot cope use violence and aggression.

As I have not used violence the whole of my life despite dealing with many situations - including guns, knives and assault and have an excellent record and success. I suggest that makes me pretty intelligent.

We can do it. We can "Regain the Ground" again and re-establish our security. Pax

  • jbkent60 you still spamming this video with your lberalist bullshit?

havnt you anything better to do?

  • Muzi

Yes, I put the value of a human being over all other values and restablishing stability , intelligence and civility in an unstable world.

Stability based on intelligence not on the unstability of feeling which can go up and down with the weather and last night's curry.

Still lots of human being around. May be few and far between but we still talk to each other.

  • jbkent60 just got owned

so did this stupid old lady

  • Muslim and et al

    I stand on stable ground

    What do you stand on?

A fragile, feeble man is a tragic thing to see. Can create nothing.

Your life is only dust. Gone with the wind. Good will last eternity. Be careful what you wish. What you have may be gone tomorrow.

  • Wow, I just saw the footage on German TV. That cop was afraid of a 72-year old woman? What a gutless pussy. How is he going to maintain the peace if an elderly woman makes him shit his pants with fear and use a taser? Watch Out Mr. Lawman, here comes an 8 year old with a slingshot. better call for back-up.

  • the cop who tasered her is a pussy

  • ClintAllford

A man is more than the sum of his genital parts. The world is changed and improvd by those who seek a civilised solution. Not those who stay home and wank. Eric goes out and risks his neck for you and stands in the way of the Bad Guy and I go out and put people back together. Including service personnel combat stress survivors. You are not in the same league. Keep on wanking. Is the only thing you'll ever be good at. Decent people still suport each other. We are of One Nation.

  • Anyone that frightened of the public has no business being in law enforcement.

  • say what you want, that's a 72 year old woman, and that cop is a large grown man with training on how to subdue a person. YES she was acting irrationally, and being a bitch in general, but if you can't subdue a 72 year old woman without resorting to a taser, you don't need to be a cop.

  • This is really bullshit. Just because your 72 and a great grandmother, the law doesn't apply to you? If a cop pulled over a 19 year old black man who refused to pull over the barrier, refused to sign the ticket, and then deliberately pulled away from the officer and became beligerent when placed under arrest, it wouldn't hit the news when the cop tasered the man. What are they supposed to do when someone resists arrest? Nothing? Punch them in the face? They use a taser - that's how it works.

  • IamSayer

Do you remember when when cops managed minor offences without using tazers? Not so long ago. Has Reason and a time of Civil Society really been forgotten? Misuse and overuse of powers and aggression now. Better to be mugged by a teenage thug than be pulled over by a cop - safer. Destroys confidence in the police and relationships with the common majority. Had male nurse jump on a 79 year old who was distressed follwing rape. Broke her arm n dislocated her hip. Can't do it.

  • "They use a taser - that's how it works. "

And it does work, brilliantly. Great comment.

  • Would love to see that pig cop thrown off a bridge.

  • Eric5923

Tazer unnecessary. Abusive and excessive. Worked in Secure Forensic and also am user of Aikido martial arts. Can withhold a big man with a small thumb lock or slight wrist hold. Without threat, stress, pain or agravation. So gentle I can hold a man's wrist while I talk and calm him down Doesn't even realise he is being held. Complete incapability fo the cop to manage the situation except by using violence and aggression.

  • Worked with SWAT, very well schooled in Hap Kido and other techniques. Take the smallest person around you, if they hold their hands in front of them, in their center of strength, 10 men cannot just pull their arms to their back. You have to use some distractionary pain tenchiques. I can counter every wrist lock and thumb hold you can place on me.

However, I do agree, the shock was not necessary, but moreso, the shouting in her face and shoving was not needed either.

  • Eric5923 Were you an astronaut, too?

  • Nope. Not an astronaut. And I don't disagree that the use of the taser in this scenario was a bit much, and that the officer could have handled this a lot better. But a taser isn't "Deadly" in and of itself and their overall use has saved lots of lives. And I quoted to you the Webster definition of 'electrocution', its not my opinion that a taser does not 'electrocute' people, it is plain simple English. Look it up for yourself.

  • "A taser isn't "Deadly" in and of itself " - this is borderline bullshit and is a matter of hotly contested debate by scientists around the world, so don't make such blanket statements. Dozens of people have died minutes to hours after having been tased.

  • "A taser isn't "Deadly" in and of itself "

Truth need not be believed to remain truth. Dozens of people who were just about to die of other causes have been tased and have died shortly thereafter. Or others who were so hyped up on drugs have died after being tased. There is NO case where the cause of death has been proven to be due to the taser only. Those are just the facts. You don't have to like them, or believe them, but they are the facts, contested or not.

  • "There is NO case where.. proven to be due to the taser only".

Sure. yet there are dozens of these cases where the cause MAY have been due to the taser only. I love how taser supporters for some reason think the burden pf proof should be to prove that tqasers *ARE* deadly - should it not be the other way around? Prove to me they *AREN'T DEADLY*, prove it . Guess what, there is none,, all public studies are either sponsored by taser companies or by the law enforcement "officials" who use them.

  • I already have done it. There are over 9000 documented cases wher the taser saved lives or serious bodily injury. Documented, proven. I have been there, personally where a person who was tazed was subdued without having to be shot....many times. That is a saved life. We have used tazers in place of a real gun many times, each time, saving a life. I prefer the taser over my gun, nightstick, or even pepper spray, and every time it has done with no lasting physical harm to the suspect. Proven.

  • When the taser is implicated in a death, it always involves some other factor. This is almost always drugs, but can also be a pre-existing medical condition.

The taser effects the muscle under the skin only, and the amperage is only .021 amps, 30 times less than the minimum lethal dosage of .7 amps.

Also, there is no setting on the taser, everyone gets the same voltage. Even the cops when trained.

85 cases for wrongful death by taser, not a single 1 found taser was the cause of death.

  • And the case of Robert Dziekanski ? What is your excuse there? A polish immagrant who does not speak english, has no medical issues, cand certainly is not on drugs or any other medication. He doesn't understand the police orders, is tased, and dies. For what? 4 cops cant take down one agitated polish man?

Once again I go back to my core argumetn- if this was 10 years agoi before tasers, would he have been shot under the same circumstances? No way.

  • If you cannot see the video of Dziekanski and see that he is under great mental and physical stress, then there ins't much hope to reason with you. He was violent, threatening, combative, sweating profusely, breaking things. I don't care where you are, that isn't normal behavior, and again, the post mortum exam did not incicate the taser caused his death. Using your example, I see my point. It was poor police work, but not death by taser

  • The Dziekanski case was another event where cops reacted before acertaining exactly was going on. Would easily found another Polish speaker in the air terminal. Thi is where strict intelligence and discipline is needed. Know in stressful situations cops and professionals can over-react. had to be harder and tougher on my staff at times than the patients/clients. Maintaining intelligence, stability and control. Had to have a voice and manner that could "cut through" and command. Understand

  • Its easy to sceond guess and arm chair quarter back the situation. The fact is, the cops did show up, and sized up the scene. The suspect was acting EXTREMELY irrationally. Did not respond to calm voice techniques. And at one point, he picked up at stapler, and swung it at the officers. That earned a taser ride. He could have easily caused serious bodily harm to the officers. NOTHING they did brought a rational reaction for the guy, Had he been in Poland, he would have been shot dead.

  • YeP I can see the situation all the way round. But you know some cannot manage a situation without raising it into the "anti." themselves. If anyone has any power or weapon they will uses it Like jumped up prefects/monitors at school . It would not have happened in Poalnd as they speak Polish and would understand that his mother had not turned up and he was getting worried. Bet mistakes have been made tazering Diabetics. No intelligence any more. Everyone acts as if they are on a Playstation.

  • The police in Poland and trained far less than in Canada, or the US, or the UK. In Singapore, Cuba, Russia, Mexico, he would have been treated far worse.

And I am a diabetic, that has no bearing on being tased. We actually 'play' with the taser. See who can take more. It's painful for sure, but as soon as its over, its over. Its not deadly, no lasting effects, and overall it causes MUCH less injury than hand to hand, pepperspray, nightsticks and any other technique I have tried.

  • Our police are getting worse and relying more on force, tazers and shooting. Latest police "Kill" was an elderly man who got upset becasue after years looking after his wife they were going to take her away and put her in a home. Separated after X number of loving years. He got upset when social workers came to remove her. They called the police and when he got upset they shot him. Want to tell me how everthing is going MAD?

  • From what I see over here, (not that the news is always the truth here) but your officers are being killed and assaulted at a far greater rate, therefore it is understandable that they are being more cautious, and defensive. They are sent to violent situations without any means to defend their own lives.

The Tussler case is sad for sure, but you kind of forgot to mention he had a gun, and was threatening people, including the police. That will get you shot just about anywhere my friend.

  • Liability.

OK fistycuffs, men and hormones can lead to trouble. But in my town 16 yr old beaten up and pushed to the ground. But it was because his head hit the ground that he died so nothing to do with the assailants. Youngsters viciously beat up people to point of death - But they did not mean to kill him or cause brain injury by kicking him in the head several times. CRAZY If I kick you in the head I expect to give you a head injury either minor or major or cause death. I am not guiltless.

  • It's funny how when an arsonist starts a house fire, and an occupant in the house has a heart attack due to the excitement caused by the fire, they charge the arsonist with murder. But when an armed taserist tasers somebody and it initiates death by heart failure, it was a "Pre-Existing Medical Condition".

Taser International certainly covers their bases well.

  • Taser International has fired a warning shot at medical examiners across the country.

The Scottsdale-based stun gun manufacturer increasingly is targeting state and county medical examiners with lawsuits and lobbying efforts to reverse and prevent medical rulings that Tasers contributed to someone's death.

That effort helped lead an Ohio judge's order to remove Taser's name from three Summit County Medical Examiner autopsies that had ruled the stun gun contributed to three men's deaths.

  • We will hold people accountable and responsible for untrue statements," Taser spokesman Steve Tuttle said earlier this week. "If that includes medical examiners, it includes medical examiners."Many medical examiners, who are charged with determining the official causes of death, view the Scottsdale-based company's efforts as disturbing, the spokesman for the National Association of Medical Examiners says.

  • "It is dangerously close to intimidation," says Jeff Jentzen, president of the National Association of Medical Examiners. "At this point, we adamantly reject the fact that people can be sued for medical opinions that they make."

  • In the Ohio case, the judge said the county offered no medical, scientific or electrical evidence to justify finding the stun gun was a factor in the deaths of two men in 2005 and another in 2006. Taser and the City of Akron sued the medical examiner, saying examiners in the case lacked the proper training to evaluate Tasers.

  • "We will hold people accountable and responsible for untrue statements,"

That sounds pretty freakin reasonable to me. People need to be held accountable for untrue statements, especially whe they are being promised big money from some civil trial lawyer for their testimony.

Seriously, you object to people being held accountable for their untrue statements? Really?

  • "It's funny how when an arsonist starts a house fire, and an occupant in the house has a heart attack due to the excitement caused by the fire, they charge the arsonist with murder."

Please cite those cases you are referring to. And an arsonist is willingly engaging in a felonious act.

A person in their home is not conducting criminal acts that warrant being tased, and anyone with a heart condition so severe that a taser would kill them is not capable of committing acts worthy of being tased

  • Eric5923

You've already lied when you said Tasers don't electrocute people. Nothing you say is worth a fat pig's stool.

  • I'll quote the dictionary again for you. I guess you went to public school and do not have good comprehension skills, but here it is again, in English.

Electrocute verb - 1. to kill by electricity.

    2. to execute (a criminal) by electricity, as in an electric chair.

    Here is another

    e•lec•tro•cute

To kill with electricity: a worker who was electrocuted by a high-tension wire.

To execute (a condemned prisoner) by means of electricity.

    Tasers don't 'electrocute people', dear.

  • Eric, read yor posts and must say.....YOU'RE FUCKED UP DUDE!

"anyone with a heart condition so severe that a taser would kill them is not capable of committing acts worthy of being tased"

So you can't speed or use bad language when you have a heart condition?

    Pfff......Get a clue, you head.

  • Up your ritalin Ionic, its not working. If you had a heart condition so bad, that a shock that is 30 times less than what is lethal woud kill you, yes, you would be incapable of driving, You would most likely be comatose. The taser is powered by a 9 volt battery, the kind kids check by sticking their tongue on, (or whatever you stick on it, I'm not asking)

And dude, you've watched over 15000 youtube vids in just over a year, get a life, get a girlfreind,...it's better than youtube, trust me.

  • Right, because a taser uses a 9-volt it couldn't possibly be lethal. You can't possibly be that stupid to resort to that. Like a cell phone signal can't possibly be lethal even though it can be used to set off an explosive device. It's not the 9-volt that would kill, it's what the battery is put into that does the killing.

I have a wife and two kids that also use this account dumkoff. Just because your nation has been dumbed down, don'y expect us all to fall for your B.S.

  • Well you made it through a post without using the "F" word. I'm impressed.

Yet, 85 cases against taser for wrongful death, not one has found ANY evidence that the taser was the cause of death. Not one. Those are the facts in the midst of your fantasy. And yes, the USA has been dumbed down by the liberal agenda, that doesn't make tasers lethal. They don not kill, have not killed, will not kill. Try to stay focused on the topic at hand.

  • "And yes, the USA has been dumbed down by the liberal agenda" Yea, they did it in just over 100 days...lol. I don't know where you get your info. from, but tasers do kill, have killed and will kill again. Not much different from any other firearm. It's all about who's using them or abuses them in many cases causing death.

You still have laws over there?? I thought the rule of law was suspended after 911, cause Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and their cabal are still free

  • Not in 100 days, in the 100 years that the ACLU has been runing amuck.

Saying tasers kill does not make it so. Saying the holocaust never happend does nothing to change the fact that it did. You are entitled to your opinion, and I respect, I won't curse at you for it. Your opinion is only that though, not based on fact, or the evidence. 85 court cases prove you are wrong. 9000 documented cases of tasers saving life or serious bodliy injury prove you are wrong. Those are what we call facts.

  • Yeah, man. We still have laws. But, their application is generally limited to non-board-member, legal American civilians.

Here is a 2008 report CoD from a Louisiana coroner who found that a 21 year old with no drugs in his system and who was at the time handcuffed on the ground, pleading for mercy, died of cardiac arrest following nine 50,000-volt electroshock applications from a conductive electrical weapon.

  • After consulting nationally prominent forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, coroner Randolph Williams concluded that [a handcuffed 21 year old's] death was homicide by police: "cardiac arrest following nine 50,000-volt electroshock applications from a conductive electrical weapon."

  • Oh my, you lied by ommision, You left out the fact that the 21 year old was a long time crack cocaine user, had warrants for his arrest for crack cocaine possession. The coroner could have just as well stated on the paperwork that he died of cardiac arrest after years of abusing dangerous drugs, including crack cocaine.

The officer is awaiting trial, we will see where the facts lead, not the hype and conjecture.

  • The coroner found no drugs in his system, you pathetic coward.

  • I didn't say he did, increase your ritalin, it's not working. He was a long time crack coaine user, you lied by ommsion. Long term use of crack cocaine will have adverse effects on your health, and does effect your heart.

You left out "you poo poo head' again. Todays kids, wonderful. Hurry, Hannah Montana is on, run go see! Right after spongebob!

  • Eric5923

You would electrocute Americans including the elderly. That is how much of a weak coward you are.

Look at the shape of the cowardly pig in this video. Disgraceful, sadistic lardasses. That's what you represent.

  • Taser are "Not much different from any other firearm"

Are you really going to stand by that comment? If you really believe that, you are not mentally competent to be in this discussion, if you have no comprehension of the nomenclature of the taser vs. a firearm.

Have you ever used either a taser or a firearm? I have been shot by both, take my word for it, they are different, VERY different. Or don't take my word for it, go get shot by both yourself, you are in for a rude awakening.

  • Eric the Liar

You would electrocute senior citizens because you represent police as sadists like the fat pig in this video and the electrocutioner who punished the seventy-two year old woman.

  • Who is dear? Dear is a polite intro to a intelligent letter to another intelligent human being. Not pubic school. Grew up on estate with no prospects. Dealing with violence, assualt and wickednes since a baby. Came with my milk as mother in coma whe born due to assualt. Did not see her for months. Estate pretty rough but know how to deal with people others would fear and run from. AM GOOD!! Stability, calm, reason and rational and reducing such ways of living will always be my point of life.

  • That was sent to lugh, jb, not you.

  • OK Eric the Viking

My dongle is very slow. So going in and out difficult. Incidents, violence and extreme reatcion by police to incidents going up. Gansta rap and gun culture now over here to. But I have seen unnecessary incidents arise through mismanagement and total insensitivity of social workers. Who instead of empathy literally tell the person they can do what they want and will call the police if they cause problems or object. I think police are misused by other professionals. Seen it.

  • Can't disagree with any of that.

  • Eric

You represent pigs aptly. You lie by omission.

    thefreedictionary

    electrocute

    Verb

[-cuting, -cuted] to kill or injure by an electric shock -

You condone risking death to American senior citizens by electrocution because you are the most disgusting type of coward, 'officer' liar.

  • You left out, "you big poo poo head"

  • Also, you do not know what I have done and a lot on my own without a SWAT team or armour or arms. Different scenarios. I'll help you "Hunt" the granny. Armoured personnel, high velocity rifles, dogs that can bite down on a chicken stick leg and maybe a few helecopters with air exocet and rapid fire machine guns. Yep. I'm sure we'll get her between us. Shoot that Mother****** Down. Bitch jumped a light and parked in the wrong bay at the Mall.

  • It doesn't matter what you have done on your own. You never worked law enforecment in the US where every cop is armed, and a large majority of the population is armed. I have no desire to "Shoot that Mother****** Down". I never had to shoot anyone, though I had many situations where I would have been justified legally in doing so. I have also been shot at. I have talked many a perp down, and will always try to do so. But again, to say you can handle everyone without violence is naive.

  • Like I say you do not know what I have done. Gald that Tazer is there for the situations it is meant for. But can see it is overused by incompetent cops. Not without harm or long tern effect as Mental Distress and PTSD can then be life long. Depression and anxiety and agoraphobia high in elderly and fear of assault. This will not help. Long term life long effect. Rapid deterioartion after such an incident. Misuse has taken away the postive press it should have and destroyed trust in police.

  • Dear Eric,

Worked with brave, fully armoured and armed police who went into tough situations. Crisis Nurse. They would hide behind the bins and garden walls wait for me to arrive then tell me to go in alone first as I ws the expert. to the upset person with shotguns and a collection of knives. They would be "RIGHT BEHIND ME" literally. Also I have taken away rights n explain bad news to someone. Never had to use esclated aggression to calm someone down. Always creates the opposite result.

  • Dear jbkent

I am a SWAT medic, trained Crisis nurses, Doctors and medics for years at Angola Prison, been there, done that, been shot in the face. I was the medic, PLUS the fully armored and armed police, your scenairo don't hunt my friend. Assaulters dont wait for the crisis nurse. 11 years on the street, you have done nothing that I have not done, I am certainly an expert in my field as well.

  • Dear Eric,

I am not in a "Who can pss up the wall the highest" contest with you. I am just saying that many turn to an instant aggressive assault response than intelligence. In a recent conversation about how to manage a 94 year old woman with dementia and extreme distress and fear after two homes who ahd abused her. The female nurses suggested and looked for ways of claming and reassuring her and dealing with her quikly. All the male nurse immediately wanted to use armlocks and inflict pain.

  • "am just saying that many turn to an instant aggressive assault response than intelligence."

No argument from me on that. I carried a gun for years, still do. I much prefer a peaceful end to every situation, because every situation I went to could turn deadly, every situation had at least one gun, because I brought it. But to claim you can diffuse every situation with a calm voice or hand to hand techniques is naive, and the taser is a great intermediary, non lethal tool at our disposal.

  • No problem. Have dealt with some real situations. And known to be a tough B**** who will use everything. But also had reputation of having most success, no suicides and least incidents when on shift. The automatic "attitude" of some is aggressionand looking for a fight causes exacerbation. Some admitted they wanted a fight and disliked me for "denying" them one. But "hello Officer. May I help you?" "Yes Mam. Sorry to say you were speeding we have the evidence on camera......." has long gone.

  • "Yes Mam. Sorry to say you were speeding we have the evidence on camera......." has long gone."

I disagree. It is the norm. This event is the exception, not the rule.

True too many are looking for a fight, but again, millions of traffic stops each year here handled with courtesy and professionalism. And no matter how tough you are, there is always someone tougher, or who cheap shots you from behind. Better to be wise, and polite, than tough. I believe we agree on that.

  • The use of a taser would have been excessive on a person his age. The fact that he used it on a 72 year old lady only makes it worse.

  • I saw the footage as well.

He warned her several times, when he said "I'll tazer you." She responded. "I dare you, I'm a 72 year old woman."

She thinks her age seperates her from the law.

She deserved the wakeup call, mind you it looks like the stubborn old hag learned nothing.

  • i8 dpunch him too

  • And the US would be a democracy? That swine tasered a 72 y old woman, with the possibility to kill her on the spot, because she used profanity and was aggressive? and you americans talk bad about muslims? you gringos are sick in the head
