Correction - it's actually 1958 during summer recording sessions for two recital albums released by EMI . Rescigno recalls that during the cabaletta he took it at a much faster pace than they rehearsed it. Callas looked at him from the podium, her eyes wide with alarm, but like the trouper she was, she gripped the stand and threw herself into it to see what would happen. And this amazing thing was recorded. First take. No retakes. Here it is. Wonderful!
