  • Very good!

  • cool

  • how did you guys get the rist guitar to sound like that? ive ben looking for a tone like that but, quite frankly am not wise enough in the musical world to know how to get it, but i really liked it!

  • Moog Ring Modulator pedal. Glad you like it!

  • i like it!

  • very cool. Very talented. :)

  • Terrestrial Communication from one location in time. 8stars

  • nice! love the moog...

    peace

  • Moogerfoogers are amazing.

  • Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! It was suggested that I mention where you can order CDs by The Weisstronauts. Go to weisstronauts com and look for the "listen/buy" link.

  • Wow Pete. Look at how many views for just a few hours on the front page. Cool tune love how the drum beat mixes beautifully with the Sitar-Guitar. Is this the sitar I saw at Verdant? Kaika

  • incubus uses this effect in pistola

  • Sweet savasana!

I hear this is the theme to the new I Dream Of Jeanie film coming out in January. It stars Karen Black and the late Dudley Moore.

  • I dig the song, very unique, but 56 secs. is kinda short. I don't think anyone would complain if you made it a little longer.

  • cool =)

  • i can't believe that song made sense to so many people..

  • very experimental i like it

  • Really rather cool

  • que estupidez mas grande..

    This is stupid...

  • It sounds like Sitar -an Indian version of Guitar

  • Actually its a "Sitar-Guitar." You can see it in the shot on the left with the cello. It's basically a guitar with added drone strings to make it sound like a Sitar.

  • My 3 month old son really digs this tune!

  • Really good, liked it alot. I'd rather you'd taken it in an electronica direction rather than a psychedelic rock direction as I reckon you could have done something way way more interesting with the drums, but that's personal preference. I'm a massive Aphex Twin fan, haha. Good stuff.

  • Thanks so much. We sure had fun making this song and video.

  • is best

  • Hey I just checked out your Seven X's video. Unbelievable!

  • great playing.

  • hey pete dana colley here

nice stuff or the right stuff or both

the quality of the video upload supreme

hope your well hi to mel

  • A lot of people were curious about the guitar effects used. For the record, the main guitar (there is no bass guitar) is a Fender Musicmaster, going through a Moog Moogerfooger Ring Modulator, sort of "tuned" to the "key" of the "song." Yeah. The main synth you see in the video is a Moog Voyager. Thanks for all the sweet comments.

  • That was tight

  • ..wow forte direi!! davvero strani.

  • Multo grazi!

  • First! And this video is fake!

  • An electrical sitar!!

  • cool man

  • Wow - I've just listened to this track 30 times in a row, and it keeps getting better! Amazing!

  • Dang! Thanks so much for the good words! We sure had fun making this song and video. Means a lot to us when people really connect with it.

  • awesome..all i can say is.. you keep making music like this song.. i'll quickly become a fan.. keep it up man!

  • Thanks, The Septembrist! Be sure to check out our latest song/video called Seven X's. Bet you'll dig it.

  • fuckin noise.

  • captain beefheart

    fans much?

  • 0:35 - 0:40

    old south park theme?

  • I like it.

  • atonal yet listenable, a great combination!

  • that was a cool but why only three and a half stars? I'll give it 5.

  • Modsavasana

  • AWSOME

  • Ok this clinches it, I need to let people hear my real music. I write music, play it, and even sing my own original songs, but NOBODY has ever seen them, I was too embarrassed to record them and only uploaded poor videos of me playing and singing as a joke somewhat. But after seeing the multiple great comments on this video it gives me hope that I may actually have something decent, albeit strange, if people dig this stuff as well.

  • Sweet dude. The guitar sound reminds me of H.E.L.P.E.R. from The Venture Brothers.

  • cool

  • what's with all the mics on the tom?

  • kickass!!!!

  • that's fanTAStic. yeah?

  • What guitar is that at :20 ?

  • very good.

  • 操 英文不好学

  • This is great

  • awesome

  • really creative!

  • sorry, but about once every, i dunno, ten years or so, someone comes along and runs a guitar through an unusual filter (like a ring modulator) and everyone is all like, "WOW!" folks, ya need to get out more.

  • great

  • cool. My tone lab can do all that

  • ...interesting.

  • nice moog!!!

    Dj uplift

  • I used to do crap like this when I was a teenager just learning to play guitar. Maybe I should upload it to YouTube and make some money.

  • amazing

  • yeah

    its great!

  • awesome

  • wow

  • hey man what are you using for the guitar effect? i like the synth type sound on it

  • ring mod

  • ring mod is short for ring modulation, an effect of many probably. They are probably running it through a synth like you say.I know you can run audio through an MS-20.look it up. there is a video online of a guy running sound though one. also if your interested check out my video inflatable grid which uses almost exclusively ms-20 effects from a VST emulator. Can't really tell what type of synth they are using from that pic although I don't think it is an ms-20.But the same principal applies.

  • clue is in the title..

  • the white guitar solo sounds very reminiscent of Joe satriani's Ice 9

  • brief, to the point, orginal and pure

    colour me impressed

  • That was awesome!

  • it was in deed

  • thats a wierd distortion in my opinion

  • ring mods must be in

    awesome

    signed,

    lud

  • booo

  • FIRST! ........doh

  • Being the first to comment on a video like this isn't exactly a good thing.

  • Disgusting music is not only like shit but it makes you feel like shit

  • agreed.

  • i dont get it....what was the direction for the music?

is it just supposed to be weird for weird sake or was there supposed to be a melody progression on there?

meh.. maybe ill listen to it again to get what direction they wanna go with it.

  • wow this really sounds bad.. its starting to give me a fucking headache... Who the fuck is incharge for featured videos? He really has horrible taste..

  • raaay, very good if you ask me

alot of expensive equipment there *dribbles*

  • i hate ring mod but you made it work

  • Good song, like the sound of it. Most viewers just don't understand music.

  • my ears hurt, public tv channel oh ya

  • Rockin!

  • This would be a cool track to add to the rest of a techno song. On it's own it sounds a little too unfinished and experimental.

  • too hard to appreciate it

  • please lose the frequency analyzer on the bass

  • Crimson-esque!!

  • More please!!!

  • cao ni ma

  • OH SHI-

  • It's telling me to drive syringes under my toe nails.
