The Fall River Line ran from 1847 to 1937. It was not running by the time the Hurricane of '38 hit in September. However, many of the original piers are still in use today. I drive by them everyday. Great recording - thanks for posting.

my grandfather worked on the providence line and his cousin worked on both the fall river and providence line , they all came to an end with the hurricane of 1938 , my grandparents went on their honeymoon on one of the ships from ri to new york ,i think it cost about 3.50 ? in 1931
