Now that I take the time to think about it...Summit put together Twilight with the idea that it wasn't going to be nearly as huge a hit as it turned out to be. Therefore, they really didn't put too much thought into who would be "perfect" to play Sam and Embry at the time. Now with the success Twilight has brought and the pressure of making New Moon an even huger success, they had to focus a hell of a lot more on who'd be best for the parts of Sam and Embry, hence the casting change. PHEW!

Would they consider taking them out? Because to me he seems like everything Sam is. He has such youth and strength, but when you look directly into his eyes, you can see wisdom that is almost melancholy, as if it is the wisdom of an old man. Sam is young, but he is the oldest of the pack and has seen a lot (even through the eyes of other wolves). Solomon can portray all of that. And he has such charisma. I agree with you. Why take him out when he is 100% SAM? (sorry to sound lame, but still)

Solomon is awesome. If you weren't a complete idiot, you would understand that a lot of natives only cut their hair for a really good reason, so Solomon probably isn't going to just chop off his beautiful hair for a movie. It's a cultural thing, but I guess you're too ignorant to know that. Also, Solomon gave valuable advice about the Quileutes to the directors because he IS part-quileute, giving the movie huge authenticity.
