I live in South Florida and have surfed all of his spots that he grew up on and I'll tell ya, that man was born to surf. Florida "A" frame waves are a bitch to learn on and have very little power behind them in comparison to pacific "C" frame waves. I surfed about 100 yards away from him a couple times now and he is amazing. I watched him shred storm surge waves right off of the Jupiter inlet and I surfed not all that far from him at backdoor. Im a lucky dude to have had the opportunity

Well ship, he was going to go on our boat with us out of SB to surf Marmetta a few summers back, but sounds like it was a good thing that he bailed out from some of these comments. I dunno, I saw him out once on a big day at Pt Dume, and another time at Blacks when I was attending the greatest surf college on earth. I won't make character judgments, but I see him for better or worth as the face on the front of the machine that chopped up surfing, packaged it, and sold it off at your local mall.
