Exceptionnaly great video - it shows not just the language of the German people but the humanity. It is a way to peer into life as it exists on a day to day basis.
Ich will Deutsche lernen, es ist ein schwierig sprache, aber es ist sehr nützlich. Danke für die Lektion! Wenn ich etwas falsch, entschuldigen Sie bitte.
She couldn't even pronounce Schalchtfestpreise, I'm not being rude to her but it amazes me that even germans see this kind of words like tongue twisters. Their not hard to pronounce, it's just that there are lots of consonant clusters and I don't like them, they sound awful.
@nosojdjos Yeah, I can be going well along in a German sentence and then feel like a retard when a word like this comes up, and they anger me, of course we have our share of these.
Thanks so much for all these videos. They are wonderful, and very enjoyable and motivating for someone who used to get by in German but has lost most of it. And the double subtitles are also a great idea, though I try to not read them at the first listen :). Vielen Dank!
you idiots i am german, is this supposed to be an usefull lesson ? You can't expect that someone who wants to learn german understands this. it's just impossible if you just talk only nonsense bullshit and don't explain anything of what you are saying
@pettystone Genau! Ich will die Deutsche Sprache lernen, weil ich es finde, dass es die beste Sprache auf der Welt ist. Dieses Video wäre, wenn die Frau etwas langsamer spricht. Konntest du verstehen, was sie gesagt hat?
@ick709 yes i understood what she said but she used words that actually don't excist.
words like.."ne" she didn't explain what that means and it's just impossible to read both subtitles at the same time. She should explain every sentence so people who wants to learn german get it.
I think this is a pretty great video, particularly for people who already speak a fair bit of german. Its nice, because the german is conversational, and spoken like it is on the street.
A couple of grammatical errors though, like the use of "Ihr sind" rather than "ihr seid"
ich hab deutsch schon fuenf jahre studiert, und diese videos sind sehr hilfbar. ich will nach deutschland zu reisen, um mich zu verbessern, und ich wollte zu wissen, wie einfach wurde es fuer mich sein, anderen leute zu verstehen. nun ist es ein bisschen schwer, aber ich kann 80% verstehen.
The "wir" is not pronounced clearly by the women, i guess it´s hard to figure out in case one is not that experienced with the formal spoken german. it´s pronounciation is like this: [vi:ɐ̯] the "r" practically falls away keep it going ;)
@john422401 Yeah seriously... Have you ever been to Germany? I'm from San Diego and i now live here in Germany. It's cool how one can just grab a bite to go open a beer and take a walk thru the city. Ich liebe es!
I'm thinking about starting to learn German, so I was watching this video to try to get a better idea of what it sounds like. I'm happy to see there's quite a few German/English cognates, but just...the pronunciation. How things are vocalized. o_x It would take me forever to get rid of my accent.
Also if you tried to talk to people coming out of a store here, they'd given you a weird look and walk away as fast as possible.
Screw this, I'm going to improve my german reading skills first. Anyone knows some good german books. (I'm great at reading, regardless or language so it is not a problem if the book is difficult.)
@melimelo123 : Yay that comment had some errors in it. Normally my English is better. I must admit that even at it's best it's still not perfect, but that is more due me being dyslectic then not knowing English. So I'm not going to put much effort in improving my English. My reading, speaking and listening skills are at native level, so I'm not going to bother that much about the writing.
Also check someone's nationality before you make a comment like that. English is not my native language.

@mynameisjonas45 I think that in German the second word in a sentence must always be a verb. When you say "Ich habe eine Frage" the verb is in the second position, so it's like in english. However, when you say "aber habe ich eine Frage" you put the subject (ich) in the third position, in order to have the verb (habe) in the second. I can only speak German in an elementary level. Maybe somebody more experienced can explair the German syntax better.

youtube took it out without even telling me why :/ go to: solarnet tv. If you ask me there then I can send it to you as a dvd. Go to the German Language forum and make a new theme asking for this. Thank you.

I can't find it anywhere. Dankeschön!!
MrJuanmggg 1 year ago
youtube took it out without even telling me why :/ go to: solarnet tv. If you ask me there then I can send it to you as a dvd. Go to the German Language forum and make a new theme asking for this. Thank you.
