They are not pricks. i happen to know both jeff and nick and have studied under nick. Both of them are dedicated to their chosen profession and both are some of the best teachers of drumming i have ever had the pleasure to know. Just i am loyal to Eric Craft and Tim Faribanks ( two others i have studied under) i am also loyal to Nick and Jeff. these men have more heart and passion in thier left hand than you can ever hope to have in this or any lifetime.
you really don't know your head from your ass do ya? nick is very good friend, mentor, and collegue of mine.Even though this isn't about me. Heres what I've done. I've achieved a DCI ring, wrote for, taught, and performed with some of the best performing concert and marching percussion ensembles in the country. Good luck with your high hopes in the new york phil. you sure do seem to have a winning attitude. sounds like all your good at is bashing others. hope it works out for ya.
btw. nick is the new caption head for madison scouts where tom hanum and jim ancona are writing this year. he must be a horrible instructor if he got that gig.
i remember going to DCI around 2003 or 2004 (can't remember) and cadets were having some sort of clinic for everyone to see how they rehearse and what they were doing show wise. well i heard someone playing on a snare and followed my ears across the alamo dome only to find nick angelis playing on snare drum. i got up real close and was just watching him wail at that drum man... i'll never forget... he said "What's up?" hahaha
it was a big moment for me to meet the guy from the blast video.
