Extreme Overclock on MacBook Pro 13 " 2009 (Windows XP)

trying to run this on my late 2009 2.53 ghz 15" MBP on Windows 7 made me bluescreen :/

@AnHeroDesu I believe thats normal, first you'r running windows with specific OS hardware, which creates a higher expectation for fatal errors to occur, and second this OC is specific for 13" macbook pro. The Gpu from your 15 is completely different from mine, clocks will be different and the behave and stability as well!

Hey man i've tried ntune and it doesn't work with my macbook...and its the same as urs, mid 2009 macbook pro 13". I tried to use the evga precision app and it still doesn't work, i don't think so anyway. I can't run mw2 as smoothly as you when i enable evga precision and fan settings just like u.

@spieletippser I recommend to use exclusively when u need it! basically when u r gaming....

if your asking while gaming how long..... I would say u should play about 4 hours and then make a break to cool down and restart the OS, of corse all this depends on how much the game requires of your GPU and the Temp. your CPU reaches

@terionize assassins screed 2 é um jogo muito pesado mesmo! especialmente para a memória integrada da placa gráfica, algo que em macs as gráficas nao tem quaze nada! por isso nao esperes teres um performance agradavel nesse jogo no teu mac. mas obviamente se correres esse jogo no windows vais ter muito mais performance!

se eu podesse faria aos dois, sem duvida que a 2 é melhor do que 1. so que eu so consigo fazer overclock ao CPU do mac em OS-X nao em Windows. como tal so faço no windows overclock a GPU.

O overclock a grafica vai ter um efeito mais directo no desempenho dos jogos(...), no CPU vais loadings mais rapidos,algumas testuras a carregar mais rapido,....

e ja agora pergunto tambem se ele tera melhor desempenho a jogar no leopard do que no windows,caso tenha nao vou jogar no windows jogos que hajam para mac.abraço;)

Actualmente os jogos sao desenhados para terem o maximo performance em sistemas operativos que usem Direct-X como o windows, ao contrario da apple que usa OpenGL a mesma tecnologia que usa a Sony PS3.

Como tal garanto te sem duvida alguma que um mac a correr em Windows 7* vai ter muito mais performance do que em OS-X. A diferença pode ser tal, que ate pode decidir entre poderes jogar o jogo ou nao!

hey ho joaquim eu vou comprar um macbook pro 13 2010 amanha e nao sei se deva fazer isso pa quando for jogar porque 1º quem me da aquele nao me da outro lol 2º e essencial pro meu curso de multimedia nao posso dar cabo dele e 3ºe bue caro!lol portanto a minha pergunta e se isso nao vai com o tempo estragando e por consequência tirando performance aos componentes (cpu/gpu)

sem duvida que sim. O que vai tirar a vida ao teu hardware nem vai ser por si só o overclock mas sim correres o OC com temperaturas tao altas como corre dentro do sistema mac (tendo em conta que isto e um macbook pro com uma ventoinha minuscula para o sistema todo). se correres o overclock que eu mostro neste video todos os dias e prometo que vais ter muitos problemas com o teu mac. se so o fizeres quando fores jogar (que no meu caso é de vez enquando) nao haverá problemas.

@ChampionPride2009 Thank U! well....it depends.... without fancontrol program starting the fans at maximum before the game starts it gets 105-108 Celsius. with fan control starting before it gets 95-98. but with zalman cooling system it will get to 88-91 but it takes about 2 hours until it reaches that

it is very relative, it depends on the game and the temperature the GPU is generating

I can tell you on battlefield gives me around 10 fps boots, on CS source 35 fps boost.......

so the over clocking will stay evan after you change it mac to osx and if you delate the partition after over clocking

no! the overclock only stays while your are in windows only.

and each time you restart it you have to make the oc again, but that's because of a bug in ntune that gives an error each it tries to reload the oc settings in the startup.

model and it runs ofcoarse on low but still very amazing
