They started by arming Arab Africans in Zanzibar by cutting deals with other Arab leaders in Middle East. Julius Nyerere then started to put power in rotating system between Muslims and Christians from different regions, giving Arabs autonomy but within the nation. Gaddafi never done that.
Excellent point, however, consider that the British and its NATO friends learned from this and are aware of the strategy Nyerere used. Therefore, it may not have been a strategy that could be wholly applied to Libya. Seven months against the most powerful nations by one people is amazing. I do not support any type of genocide. I don't think that's what's going on here. The rebel forces took the town after pushing the Gadafi troops out of Misrata. There were reports that the rebels took prisoners, but not that they were systematically killing everyone. I will admit that it's unfortunate if any of the innocent civilians lost their lives, but it wasn't intentional.

Keith Snow has written plenty about rich African natural resources, perhaps especially those of the DRC, but not only theirs. And I've read that Africa has a lot of rich agricultural land or soil, which the large food industry of the USA wants to basically control for exploitation by them; exporting the foods, instead of many South Africans, f.e., being the first to benefit. They're left to starve.
And fresh water seems to be another of the rich resources of Africa.

@AfriSynergy may be I put it in wrong way, but I want to say was based on the counter-attack system left by Julius Nyerere of Tanzania when British intelligence was planning to destroy Tanzania from within. They started by arming Arab Africans in Zanzibar by cutting deals with other Arab leaders in Middle East. Julius Nyerere then started to put power in rotating system between Muslims and Christians from different regions, giving Arabs autonomy but within the nation. Gaddafi never done that.

It is true that Africans fought and won to attain independence. In the past, Europeans has a limited amount of unity but not too far beyond agreements in dividing up their own areas of Africa. In fact, they were often fighting each other in one way or another. Today, they are more unified with the US being chief. In the past, the US has a limited indirect role in most of Africa with exceptions being in part of North Africa where it replaced Britain and France in Egypt as the power.

I do not support any type of genocide. I don't think that's what's going on here. The rebel forces took the town after pushing the Gadafi troops out of Misrata. There were reports that the rebels took prisoners, but not that they were systematically killing everyone. I will admit that it's unfortunate if any of the innocent civilians lost their lives, but it wasn't intentional.

However, your criminals have extended their crusade another 90 days. Bush said it would take no more than 6 months in Iraq. Obama said a few days in Libya. Algebra was invented by the Muslim mathematician Al-Khwarizmi in the book he wrote in 820.Al-Khwarizmi is considered by many to be the "father of algebra" because some of his techniques on solving quadratic equations are still in use today.
No one has actually discovered astronomy. It has been around for years and years so it is hard to tell who actually discovered it.
In early times, astronomy only comprised the observation and predictions of the motions

Look at the towns in Europe & US...then compare to say Agadez in Niger or say Garoowe in Somalia....world apart. Africa has simply not modernised itself compared to all the continents. @meandwot - you talk nonsense about Africa's wealth - 2010 lists the top African nation GDP per capita as Equatorial Guinea in 48th place $18,209 ...with Botswana in 55th place out of 180+ listed countries. The majority of African countries fill all the lower positions. Take a look at the positions from 150 to 183...nearly all African countries.
China and India are low, because of their massive populations, most of which are relatively poor.....despite that they are world powerhouse economies.

How do you explain the 15 countries in Africa experiencing conflict - exclude Algeria as that's mainly an Arab Muslim state.....so that still leaves 14 countries out of 54 inside Africa that have conflicts from within.
