  • Hangovers = Eating shitty. Once you get sober and healthy, you can focus on improving your lifestyle, and REALLY start reaping the benefits of sobriety (Or so I'm told!)

  • Today is the day I being my journey. Thank you so much for these videos.

  • @nikki052411 begin**, that is :)

  • am about to take the plunge mate. Cheers for the inspiration. I'm gunna need it.

  • Wow, it's pretty good that you can still hang out in bars so much & still abstain.

  • Are you happier now that you quit? Perhaps your not a very animated person, and it's just me, but you seem to have a sad disposition. And another thing, did you quit smoking pot as well?

  • First of all, well done on getting sober.

Regarding diet, and speaking from the perspective of an overweight person, i would say to you keep on eating plenty of vegetables and lean protein. I stopped overeating over a year ago but that wasn't enough.

  • Being overweight has taught what works and what doesn't. And diets sure as hell don't. Sure you lose water and lean muscle and that looks good on the scales but you're not losing fat-in fact, dieting will hinder your bodies fat burning efficiency. Now i do a lot of working out instead. My advice would be to eat no less than 2000 calories a day (eating below your base metabolic rate will actually cause you to eventually stop losing weight. Also, do resistance training and build up lean muscle: ..

  • ...It's the safest, sanest way to lose fat and not lean muscle (which you will lose on a calorie restricted diet). In any case, you look fine and wish you the best of luck with getting healthier. I have no idea how terrible alcoholism must be BUT i have been an emotional eater for most of my life and that's had a very really impact on my life and health. So, yeah, 100% behind you! :-)

  • yeah i eat everything that i want, mostly lean meats and veggies, but i slurge here and there. and keep the portions smaller. exercise every day i can. and it works. i dont feel deprived, and when im snack-hungry i have fruit. i feel great

  • Im proud of you, I wish I could've given up when I was in my 20's ...you know listening to you reminds me so much of myself :) I lost a lot of weight and got so healthy when I stopped drinking. I ate well, I ate whatever I wanted once a week, so on sundays I would have fast food or w/e I felt like. and I started walking, that made a huge difference. I was never overweight but I just healthy inside and out.
