@ChRiStOpHeR7458 the only thing i liked about final fantasy is the graphics and the music. i played final fantasy 10 and final fantasy tactics and the part i hate is that it has overly complex storyline and the cutscene are too long. The game play is fine, but in the middle for me it gets repetitiive...
ff4 i think one of the best "storyline" in FF series. the twist was freaking classic even the main character transfiguration. never played 10 and 7 but played 8 but never finished cause 9 came out then did not finished cause i lost the 3rd disk.
@Lionheart2555 dude this is the only final fantasy game i never skip a scene. even the eidolons. they never get old to me especially when in gestalt mode. new gameplay was amazing, didn't beat the game yet but i think its really cool seeing character doing different kinds of attacks not just one even magics.
I wonder how this game would be if you could create your own player and play with him throughout the game WITH the same beautiful graphics and realistic features as FFXIII
@Marnfacy what? i think its the best battle system ever in final fantasy. ff12 was the lamess battle system ever. 13 is a complex battle system but you get used to it and it is just cool that you will see different attack and magic movements of each character.
im not saying its bad i just think there are better, thats all Im saying i liked creating a full on strategy using every member of the party, but again i do like it just not as much

Final Fantasy VII <3 really made me feel like it was the final fantasy, then they made Final fantasy VIII and IX was excellent and X was fun then they completely screwed it over by making XI online and XII was truly terrible :(

Great job Sony, Let's let one of the best Series and All-Around exclusives you had for the Playstation since 1997, and let it be a multiple platform game. Keep this up and no-one will even be persuaded to buy your console. No offense to 360 users, I have one and play it often so don't think I'm a fanboy....but the Final Fantasy series has been a Playstation exclusive for so long, why stop now? And don't say it was for sales, because selling a FF game has never been a problem lol.
Final Fantasy was on the SNES before PS 1. What's wrong with square enix distributing Final Fantasy 13 to xbox 360 and PS3. BTW, i own a ps3 but it's not really bothering me that xbox users are gonna be able to play FF 13.

If Sony wants to be a leading console they need to have some good exclusives, because if they have none then why not sell your PS3 and get an Xbox with all of their good exclusives. Btw I'm not saying PS3 doesn't have good games I'm just Mainly talking about FFXIII. I know they belonged to Nintendo at one point, I've played all of them, so why not sell them on Nintendo's console? Well the Wii probably couldn't handle it anyway.
The 360 lacks any good exclusives. All they're releasing is Halo Reach, and project natal. Plus all the other exclusives kind of suck anyways. The playstation 2 is going to have god of war 3, heavy rain, and mag to name a few. Plus Final Fantasy 14 a exclusive FInal Fantasy game for the ps3, Gran turismo 5, and the last guardian. That's way more exlcusives for the ps3 than the xbox 360. Sony doesn't need ff 13 to be an exclusiv when they have lots of them coming out already.
@MWF2GEEK The problem is that xbox's HD disks are not as advanced as ps3's blue ray disks , meaning that games realease on both consoles have to have things taken out of them or things reduced like the graphics as blue ray disks can hold more memory THEN YOUR SHIT XBOX HD DISKS

The female (dunno her name) looks like FFX-2 Yuna. The guy with the black bandana (or something) feels like Tidus.
I miss the old FFs... I know they have to be flashy to cater to the new generation, but wouldn't it be better to cater to the existing fanbase? Add a little to draw in new fans, but keep the old fans happy.

Lightning's personality is based off of Cloud....the creators said so, and you're right about her weapon..it's based off of Squall's gunblade....but Lightning's weapon is called Blaze Edge and one of the final weapons of her's is called the Lionheart Series
so she's just a female Cloud with an advanced gunblade pretty much...nothing original really >.>
I liked FF7's characters...except Cloud...I hated him same as FF8's Squall...actually I hated all the characters for FF8 except Zell...he was cute...but I even hated the storyline...so I guess I'll hate FF13's characters tho I like them from seeing countless cutscene vids/gameplay vids of them...and I gotta say Snow is my fav so far with Sazh coming in second

I love the traditional system from 1 to 10. Ever since 11 the series has went down, down, down. The graphics in this look VERY nice. But the overall character designs are story aren't fitting up to FF potential.

Yes but in ff7 cloud was the only one to have a name like that in this you have lightning,fire,storm,snow and i think there is one ore like that but thats almost every charecter but aside from that its still hopefully going to be a great game. @UmbrellaCorpTeam: Maybe they're trying to try different summons. They've been using the same sets of summons in some of their FF games, so a little change is kinda good. FFXII, for example, has different summons; but still is tied to an element. It might be a good thing (or not), time will tell.
They managed to keep some of the famous summons though (like Bahamut) as usable summons, althought I'm not as enthused when I heard that these summons could turn into vehicles. Transformers... o.O'
Ehhh.. I just don't know. I'm mean you'll probably be right, but just not seeing them in any other movie/ trailer and gameplay videos just worries me.......
@ChocoboEmperor It was the very first Carbuncle that i saw in Final Fantasy and i thought it was cute. However i haven't seen him nor the other summons in any other gameplay trailers.
I still think the idea of summoning vehicles is extremely stupid and that the idiots who thought of that should burn,but I'll admit,some things about this game are pretty impressive.
It is a lil weird.. But it makes you think. Why put vehicles? It will prob be a VERY free roam game that way. So that means a large world. So it provides faster travel:)

Xbox makes more money because they have too many system failures.. Then the user buys a new one and then te red ring of death strikes again and the user is stupid enough to buy another xbox 360. The 360 is the console to have the most problems that's y it's cheap and ppl keep buying it and that's how they make money. Although ps3 does hav its problems, doesnt happen as much as 360, 360 is cheap for a reason.. They didn't just make it cheap just cuz, nd ps3 is more expensive for a reason as well.
The thing i love is when confronted with the red ring of death microsoft solution is to simply ignore the problem and talk about its superior entertainment value which, in fairness, it may have but that wont solve the problem of the xbox 360's which are now about as much use as a paper weight
i have a 2 years old 360 and i do not had this problem, i had a lector problem but microsoft by ups way came to take it and repair it. It took 3 weeks but it was entirely free, does Sony do that ? Anyway both consoles have good and bad points, i do not understand why ps3 and 360 players have to make kind of war of that.
That also explains why My friend has had 1 Xbox360 Since it came out. Just deal with the fact that the PS3 isn't the only half decent system. And stop complaining about exclusives

Not really. They make it with Crystal Tools, which is something on the PC; it's not being developed on the PS3, and they have various teams of developers that work on various things. They probably have a whole separate team to work on the 360 port, and another to work on the PS3. If anything, because the PS3 is harder to develop on, if it was 360 only, it would've been out sooner; but the fact is, it's multiplatform. Sorry.

it comes out in two dayd I have played final fantasy from FFVII on up and here is how they played out for and i am going list n the order i played.
FFVIII- good loved the storyline
FFVII- also good although I liked VIII more
FFIX- I liked it but it didn't feel like FF to me.
FFX- I loved this game as much as VIII if not a bit more
FFX2- hated it they should have left the summons
FFXI- should not have been numbered
FFXII-wish they had kept orignal summons
this game looks to be awesome

I didn't really like FFVII, plus, I said nothign about cloud. I didn't really like his name eigther....cloud seems more like a last name. Lightning is ok I guess. She is really pretty after all :P

Lightning's personality is based off of Cloud....the creators said so, and you're right about her weapon..it's based off of Squall's gunblade....but Lightning's weapon is called Blaze Edge and one of the final weapons of her's is called the Lionheart Series
so she's just a female Cloud with an advanced gunblade pretty much...nothing original really >.>

I liked FF7's characters...except Cloud...I hated him same as FF8's Squall...actually I hated all the characters for FF8 except Zell...he was cute...but I even hated the storyline...so I guess I'll hate FF13's characters tho I like them from seeing countless cutscene vids/gameplay vids of them...and I gotta say Snow is my fav so far with Sazh coming in second

I say while the old FF are great, you cant just keep recycling old concepts and expect to progress game wise. I think its great they're trying new things and I wont be too judgmental until I actually play it (in march woo)

The previous games were awsome! But ever since they switched to the new battle system where you run around to fight..NO.
I love the traditional system from 1 to 10. Ever since 11 the series has went down, down, down. The graphics in this look VERY nice. But the overall character designs are story aren't fitting up to FF potential.
They need to bring the regular ATB battle system back. These newer games don't fit.

Yes but in ff7 cloud was the only one to have a name like that in this you have lightning,fire,storm,snow and i think there is one ore like that but thats almost every charecter but aside from that its still hopefully going to be a great game. Although i dont agree with the bahamut turning into a jet,odin turning into like a motorcycle and so on i find that rather stupid

@UmbrellaCorpTeam: Maybe they're trying to try different summons. They've been using the same sets of summons in some of their FF games, so a little change is kinda good. FFXII, for example, has different summons; but still is tied to an element. It might be a good thing (or not), time will tell.
They managed to keep some of the famous summons though (like Bahamut) as usable summons, althought I'm not as enthused when I heard that these summons could turn into vehicles. Transformers... o.O'

Xbox makes more money because they have too many system failures.. Then the user buys a new one and then te red ring of death strikes again and the user is stupid enough to buy another xbox 360. The 360 is the console to have the most problems that's y it's cheap and ppl keep buying it and that's how they make money. Although ps3 does hav its problems, doesnt happen as much as 360, 360 is cheap for a reason.. They didn't just make it cheap just cuz, nd ps3 is more expensive for a reason as well.

i have a 2 years old 360 and i do not had this problem, i had a lector problem but microsoft by ups way came to take it and repair it. It took 3 weeks but it was entirely free, does Sony do that ? Anyway both consoles have good and bad points, i do not understand why ps3 and 360 players have to make kind of war of that.

Not really. They make it with Crystal Tools, which is something on the PC; it's not being developed on the PS3, and they have various teams of developers that work on various things. They probably have a whole separate team to work on the 360 port, and another to work on the PS3. If anything, because the PS3 is harder to develop on, if it was 360 only, it would've been out sooner; but the fact is, it's multiplatform. Sorry.
