@jhspedals Just mailed out today for the mod! Stoked! Hopefully the mod does NOT suck the mids out of the drive side?! Point of a tubescreamer are the mids so taking them away has always baffled me?
the switch on th eleft is a bass booster on stock Route 66 pedals. But this one is a JHS modified version so it may have a different function now.
All I know for sure though is that if you're thinking about getting a Route 66, don't even bother with the stock version from VS. Just go ahead and get the modified one from JHS. Their mod really opens up the potential of the OD side and it cleans up the compressor and makes it nice and transparent.

Hello folks! I'd like to know if it is possible to use the compressor as a boost for leads.
Thank you so much!

I emailed a while back about this mod with no response? I'm curious if the Flagstaff mod adds more gain than stock on the drive side?

@fakeemailbox we add a 3 way gain switch for the Overdrive side so you definitely can get more gain than the stock version offers.

Sure can. It should cut through nice. We are about to release a handbuilt "Green Tea" pedal that will be made for bass and do this and more!
