I Love and Enjoy Morrissey Music So MUCH!!! But satan is not rejecting his soul, Morrissey would make a GOOD SELLS MAN for satan. Further more GOD Love's Morrissey just doesn't like the sinners that's in All of US.
I remember being a young boy. I had just gotten into The Smiths. This was the first time I ever saw Morrissey on TV. God I loved TFI Friday. Unfortunately, Moz disapeared for the next seven years sfter this single (during which time I became a hardcore Morrissey fan). Great memories!
I remember watching this episode - having been at the Battersea gig a few days before when this track was amazing - thinking that this TFI 'Satan' sounded flat.
I remember watching this, thanks for posting. Helluva performance from the big lad - I think he was at his peak live around then, mid nineties. and this is a great performance
only Morrissey can make a song about seeing oneself as a scoundrel and make it feel liberating. pure genius. anything less is ...well..just not Morrissey..no one's better.
Anyone else noticed how Morrissey's songs often have an amazing sung/crooned outro? "Come on, come on oooh come on, oooh ooh"...is my favourite bit! Also, Lucky Lisp with the "daa da da da da daaa" part...and Roy's Keen with the "La la la lah" outros. Love it
@CanUblameus The last part of this outro (''ooh-ooh-ooh da da da da da'') always reminds me of 60 girl group melodies. My favourite moment of the song.
Honestly, this is really a great Mozz song. Say what U will about his "peaks and valleys" but after many years of making music, he delivers and stands the test of time.
Agreed. Remember watching this live and thought at the time it sounded flat, but I take it all back. I actually think this sounds pretty simple yet complex now.
Morrissey's first Christmas single too (well, New Year ;-) .. )
I love this song and think Maladjusted is pretty underrated after getting it the other day, got some great tracks. He seems pretty distracted tho, odd for Mozza. This must've been an odd stage in his life, wasn't this the time when he had a relationship of sorts with someone? Still a genius though.

A low point for the Mozfather. He disappeared for seven years after this.

From Satan Rejected my Soul to Irish Blood, English Heart, amazing how things turn around. I remember this song scraping no 39 in the charts.

Morrissey looks and sounds the absolute business here. Love it.
Hope he doesn't go on forever on stage - flogging dead horses around him.

It's from an edition of TFI Friday, hosted by Chris Evans. I remember the very evening it was on. Don't ask me how, but I do.
