Circumcision is in hadis and is in OT OT is adulterated Torah. That is why Jesus was commissioned to introduce pure Torah and to weed out traditions. He did it. He, inter alia, abolished circumcision and stoning.

Same traditions reappeared as hadis, hopefully, from OT. The four Gospels, which are not Injil or Gospel of Jesus, are more reliable record as compared to hadis as being compiled by friends of Jesus Christ AS. Hadis is not recorded by contemporaries/friends of Muhammad AS.

Nowhere within it is genital cutting (for either gender) mentioned.

It does say the body is created perfect and requires no alteration. For example read 3:191, 4:119, 15:28-29, 27:88, 32:7, 67:3, and

82:7-8 The One who created you, designed you, and perfected you. In whatever design He chose, He constructed it.

95:4 We created man in the best design.

That is false. Not one national medical association on earth endorses routine circumcision. Sexual pleasure is a gift from Allah, and forced genital cutting robs a child of a measure of that gift. How dare we alter His creation and make it less majestic?

@RonJLow I agree with you on this and I'm Muslim.Circumcision is mention in hadith but it's not compulsory (wajib), it's sunnah (tradition of the prophet) - meaning it's only recommended. The issue in Islam is that circumcision shouldn't be compulsory, but to keep ourselves clean - so we'd have to wash ourselves more regularly, and then there'd be no problem. Besides, boys have foreskins for good reasons - 1 of them is that it protects them from having constant abrasions.
