headers with three inch collectors. i built a stainless 3in x-pipe into 3in flowmasters. it dumped before the axle. i had the same exhaust with Hooker aero chambers with 3in all the way to the bumper. sounded good but my dad said it was too quit. lol so i put the flowmasters back on. go look up the first video. someone flagged it so u need to be logged in as 18 or older or something. i did a very nice burnout about 100 ft. miss that car
Had to sell it but was trying to convince my dad that we should paint it black jade. Its the original color but not for the purists but because i liked the color. he wanted to repaint it the charcoal grey he did it in, in 1972 for his senior prom. It was an original z code car, not a replica. 29,000 miles. check out dads boss burnout # 1 just have to log in. someone flagged it for what ever reason. way better burnout when i came back around the corner. Have a great thanks giving an chrismas
thats funny 1950dodgefan. ive got a 65 belvedere post car that even my mopar friend says its a good idea to put a boss 9 in the belvedere. just to say to purists " the guy that sold me the motor said its a hemi. haahhah. and by the way look at a new chrysler heemi heads combustion chamber. identical to the fords of 69.
@alexander1485. check out dads boss 429 burnout #1. it was flagged for some reason. something about age related so u have to log in as an adult or whatever they need. i think someone was mad i did a burnout my my house. my neighbors were there. they loved it.
@67shelbysmash ...My dad made the grill my cutting up an old one and filling up the headlight holes. not too hard. you can also get a custom billet grill made for a few bucks too.
You know...you can chill out! Everyone has a good point...if it is a REAL boss 429. Its worth more than your house and every car you guys could ever have. Restore it and sell it.....dont leave it primer and in a driveway. The body and scoop are right but it doesnt sound like a Hemi 429. Ive ridden in them...my dad used to sell HP fords and brought one home. I remember the sound very very well. If its real...show us the engine and fix it up! It would pay for yale or harvard for you! Eric
go look at the other video where i came back around the corner and left 60 ft of rubber and showed the engine. Text me at 951. 847 1337 i will send you a pic of my dads registration! Its an original Z code car.....look that up. vin 9F02Z198820. dont be ignorant. i can even send a pic of my dads boat with a boss 429. dont send comments when u have no idea what u are talking about. thank you have a nice day.
@kx125riderMX Really? i dont care who calls me or texts me. I just hate ignorant people who talk shit, and have know idea what they are talking about. Get a life and ride a mans bike you child.
no way a real boss 9 car........or a 9 engine, built 514 or so ya...you woulda shown engine.....there only unobtainable. $500,000 or so,just for engine.. or be a brand new john khase boss set up and car wouldnt look like its been put away wet, only one of the most valuable muscle cars ever
I can see why people don't think this is an original one, since it's got a poor exterior (paint mostly) and how multiple things aren't stock, such as the wheels, the stance, and the inner headlights being gone.
Glad to see a real Boss 429 in it's unmolested original-owner's Fun Mode!!
What is the KK number for this one? Sorry, but you must understand that a lot of people (including myself) are kind of skeptical that this is, in fact, a REAL Boss 429 Mustang.. Please don't take offense to my comment. :/
go back and read the history on these cars. Bunkey knudsen did not have time to do the same scoop delete as on his boss 302 cars. check the vin ive given on other comments.
It is nice ! In 1969 & early 70`s saw a bunch of these run at the dragstrips i went to . this car in the video is missing the inner lights in the grille all 69 mustangs of any description had 4 headlights . i know it is a 69 . i feel like it is clone . I HAD A 69; NOT A BOSS but i had friends that had all different configurations . boss 302 , mach 1 & such ! Somebody it looks like bonded the scoop on ; they were bolted on from the factory . STILL A NICE CAR !
Also super cool to see this apparently was living in a normal neighborhood. Not many in that situation nowadays either.
Any more footage or pics of this car exist???? Would sure love to see any, if they do. Again, to me, seeing this car unrestored and in 70's street trim is more fun than looking at ten restored ones. We know what restored looks like, at this point.
@SixSpeedSS you can have one made for you from john kasse racing....and they also sell blocks and preformance parts you can buy.....a block with heads i think is 5 and change
@Muzicsallitsworth Gotcha, yeah, these clips had me looking at some amazing dyno numbers of modern Boss 9 builds useing Kasse's reproduction type heads (forget the name). They are amazing, and for street type power too. Been a while, but I recall huge low rpm torque along with huge peak hp/tq numbers. Flat fat torque curves on some builds I noted with his heads.
Incidently, if I had one of these, I would drive it like it was meant to be. Might pull orig block and set it aside, but regardless ,either way. They weren't meant to only be looked at.
My first car was actually very nearly a black on black 69' S code (390) Mach I. Old man was helping add to the funds, and wouldn't add that much lol. I'd consider selling my left boy for this thing though. So till sold, this bad boy was still in CA???? What was the mileage on the odo????
@BigHairyManBeast i would, its a car so its meant to be driven wether its out of a trailor onto some grass ( LAME ) or sideways on a rural street haahhahaah!
These people look poor...how do they afford a car like this...
