Regigigas can only be caught on event in platinum which is where you will have to find and catch all the regis off platinum first and only thoses ones off platinum will awaken regigigas. However on diamond and pearl you just need all the regis. I also suggest having a spiritomb to fight regigigas and a pokemon with false claw. I chose spiritomb because it isn't affected by any attacks that regigigas has and it learns hypnosis. Don't choose haunter though because it's weak against zen headbutt.
