@franknishtin I live in Gibraltar, it works perfectly as it is atm, just causes a lot of traffic but we've never ever had any disasters of any kind. An underground pass is nearly completed though because of such traffic.

a great video, i see the three planes 2 x Monarch and 1 BA, almost everyday they fly over East Marbella normally at 17,000ft over the strait and often enter into holding patterns until the runway is clear, i have a virtual radar so can follow the exact route....

HAHAH I was there last summer, We crossed on the wrong side of the road so we never saw the barriers come down. At the middle of the runway I turned around and saw the landing lights of a 737. Next thing I hear over the loudspeakers is " WALK FASTER, FASTER !" :P hahahah I ran for my life!

No they close it off both sides so you have to wait until the aircraft have taken off or landed but they open it up pretty quickly as they usually have a backlog of traffic crossing between La Linea and Gibraltar!

hello,gibtaltar airport is very small and the runway is only 45 metres long you have to have 25 yrs experience to land there.

i live iin gibraltar and its very good i love it there and my life is the best ever.

gibraltar is the most peacefulest place in the world i live a both worlds but is moving to the new flats what are getting built.

the only thing i want to say about gibraltar is mucha enjoyable.

a very bad estimate at that.. It's "only" 1800 meters long, and that's short for being a runway used by large, heavy planes.
