  • i had a buck skin mustang named bucky, he was caught out in the wild and brought to my dads grandpas farm and out lived him, then my dads dad got him and bucky out lived him too. that horse went from a wild crazy mustang to a horse that only comes once in a million years, you could put a new born baby on him and leave for the day. me and my dad trusted him so much that we let him roam free around the farm. unfortunately he died a few yrs ago. he lived for sixty years. mustangs all the way!

  • Amazing. People don't get that the horses belong on the range. You can't take a mustang and keep it in a barn. you just can't. I met a mustang who had been "tamed." once. You can never truly tame them. He was crazy. He cribbed and weaved and a number of other problems. As an experiment his owners kept him in a huge pasture for a few weeks with a group of other horses without iding him and he was fine. They need freedom.

  • @animalcrueltyisevil I have an American Mustang and she is perfectly fine in a stall in a barn. She loves being there and has never showed any signs of not liking it. She goes out everyday with me and runs. They can to be tamed and not all of them need to be on the range or wild. Own one before you make the opinion on all of them. Just because that mustang was crazy, doesn't mean all of them are.

  • Save the Danube Delta horses donate

  • Thanks for sharing this video.... I hope its ok to use for the Trail Ride to support the Mustangs ad?! I ll give the credits to you and use your sayings. There is a Trail Ride planned June 4th to support the Mustangs - you can find the Info at the ACTHA.

So all Riders should contact and find out where there is a Trail Ride going on next to theirs.

  • Wild Mustangs are part of the American West. They belong there. Don't slaughter them. Adopt them.

  • @JBell891

I DID adopt two mustangs! We also stop at the Ridgecrest corrals and feed the mustangs there whenever we head up to the Sierras.

    Thank you.

  • Lol I'm all for saving the mustangs and all that but we didnt take "their" land horses were extinct in north america just after the ice age and then were reintroduced back into the north american continent by spanish explorers in like the 15th century.

  • thepetitionsite(dot)com/takeaction/753/146/988/

Sign this free petition to hold off the 2011 roundup and save mustangs!

We have 140 signtures and need 250+ !

  • We have taken away so much from them. They were robbed of their land, we broke their wildness and we’ve deprived them of their freedom. The only thing left we could take from them to finally kill their souls is their dignity.

Their destiny is in our hands and they need our protection.

Let’s take them under our wing, patronizing our brothers, ‘cause we all belong to the same family.

Thank you for this lovely way to honor our animal friends.

  • I must know the music! Please someone let me know.

    Excellent pictures and slides!

  • sono a dir poco meraviliosi!

  • great video i loved all the pictures!

  • I LOVE this video, girl! Do more! The pictures are awesome and I LOVE the music!

  • hello there the BLM are nasty peoplr trying to get as much land for them selfs and to get a profite of the mustang the mustang should be free they were there before use, its all about land and money i know this because i am part of an rescue sceme

  • Actually, your comment is ignorant, the BLM actually helps the wild mustang herds, they maintain a population the the land can support. Too many horses=not enough food= starving horses. so what do you want? horses to 'be free' and starve to death, or for some to be adopted out to rigorously inspected homes?

  • tlawson7707, first to answer your qwestion wild horse advocates want neigther. Just stop killing of mountain lions - horse population managed - saves all our tax dollars.

    We must stop BLM mismangment.

Current Calico roundup and others, documents just released that we American taxpayers are taking those horses, not because they are starving, or because of the ecology, not even because of cattle - RUBY pipeline - $3 million - to serve 150,000 homes - put solar on those roofs instead!

  • They're not all adopted out. Many are euthanized. What about people? Should we euthanize all the people in the world who are starving? Let God be the decision maker of life and death for all living things. These animals deserve to be free just like you.

  • It's easy to blame the BLM but what are you doing to protest them? Just letting them roam is not protecting them. Their numbers need to be managed due to the amount of land they have to range on and to avoid inbreeding. It's easy to say you love something and then do nothing to protect it or ensure it's future.

  • 1976jrl, thousands of us all around the world work tirelessly everyday - check out The Cloud Foundation - saved a whole band of horses from the Pryor roundup.

But how can we save 33,000 when Congress gives BLM a raise to feed them, then spends the money instead on rounding up another 12,000?????

Lots of wonderful volunteer and folks at BLM but the policies, mismanagment & wastful government spending has to stop.

Just send the hores home & STOP KILLING THE MOUNTAIN - problem solved!

  • I genuinely thought that what I was saying was correct, but in the past several months, the more I have been researching BLM I have found how wrong I was. There is a very devious scheme by the BLM to completely remove the horse through technicalities and Managing to Extinction. Thanks for bringing me back to this post. I could never remember where I had posted it in order to retract it. Thanks Again. Remove the BLM!

  • they are beautiful but thats going to change do you want to see them?? The BLM deos not they want to kill them

  • Nice video

  • My mustangs are young. Two are three years old and one is four and a half and all three are better behaved than my two teen sons LOL!!! I just started Civil War reenacting with my oldest mustang. It takes two years to train great Cavalry horses. He's coming along just fine. They are so very smart. I am so very lucky to have my mustang boys. I hope to see more mustang videos from you in the future. You did an awesome job on this one!

  • Wonderful video! The pictures were awesome and the music as well!

  • Thank you for your kind comment! I have 2 mustangs myself and they are WONDERFUL, smart, energetic, healthy horses!

  • One thing I've noticed is that they don't have the same problems with the Assateague and Carova horses. They still round them up and adopt them out, but you don't hear of horses going to slaughter or anything of the sort.

  • Mustangs end up on slaughter lots just like any other horses. Look how many of them are rescued from these lots. And, yes, they are mustangs! Please, I have 2 horses myself that I rescued from a slaughter lot!!! If you want to research this, I invite you to do so. Just google "horse slaughter".

  • Those are great photos, regardless of who took them.Conservation is not just about the more exotic animals,it's about all living creatures that have the right to exist in peace.

  • They are True Native American

  • horses were brought over by the spanish

  • The story of the west was written by the horse, were ever a settler left his footprint there was a hoofprint beside it.Theamerican's found a spirit that couldn't be tamed..Wild Horses,,Mustangs. They couldn't domesticate them so they destroyed them. No one really wants them, not ranchers not city people, thats there destiny desapear once and for all from the face of the earth.Lucky for us a few of them survived, hidden away in the mountains. We have to protect them

    LOVE HORSES

  • beautiful..and it is so sad...

  • They are the spirit of America and a living proof of the old, wild west, the natives, the pioneers and everything that built this great country. They are a precious part of wildlife and a symbol of freedom. They belong on the prairies and must not be killed, that would be a major loss for the heartland.

  • That's the theme from Silverado, by Bruce Broughton. Very Western.

  • What was the music you used?

  • i guess no one cares about these beautiful creatures.. so sad
