No one should be blamed. From the looks of it this is a legitimate event on a closed street. Its not like this was some kid racing through traffic. All adults present should be capable enough to understand the dangers of spectating a drag race. That girls parents accepted the risk and unfortunately had to pay for it. Really though, it was an accident and no one should be blamed. if anything I just pity the parents for losing their kid and the rider for having to live with what happened.

I state in the beginning "No one should be blamed" I said that the parents, being adults, were capable of knowing the inherent dangers involved in drag racing and accepted the risk of bringing their girl to such an event and unfortunately she died. I'm trying to say that everyone knew this could happen, furthering why I feel no one is at fault.

The rider is responsible. He is an adult and he knew how close the people were. He could have used his judgment and not run. The spectators don't know the dangers as much as the riders do. I've back down from many street races that I feel were not worth the risk to others. Sponsored or not it is no different than a rogue street race.
