Slash seems to more emotion into Appetite songs like (sweet child o mine, welcome to the jungle) etc. Rather than the illusion songs (november rain and estranged etc.)IMO

I'd say it may have somethin to do with Slash having a ton more input into the AFD songs as opposed to what came from the Illusion discs. Slash's side projects haven't neccessarily sounded like UYI as much as it does AFD. I would go with that in your response.
