use one of those IC type regulaters ,6 volt may be hard to find ,but 5 volt ones are in most any thing ,if you have a small junk tv you can find one in that ,It will have a number on it like 7805 ,or something o5, you will see 9 volt ones 7809 .they have a in and out pin and ground not too hard to do and it will be more stable.
@PutSome5tankOnIt Don't think they will work on AC voltage my friend, have to use in a DC circuit or power seperatly or use a bridge rectifier etc. I just posted a video on it :>

That's a cool idea, Mike. They're DC battery powered. Will they work on AC current? Maxxarcade would probably know. That dude is an electronics guru.
