@fivestringbassplayr Sadly in 1994 he was kicked out of the band due to drug abuse,and he commited suicide by jumping infront of a train in March 8 1995. little is known why he did that some say because he couldn't handle the fact that he was no longer Helloween drummer,others say the drugs where taking over his head.

@amigarule673 I read an interview somewhere that he was fired from the band because he started hearing voices in the monitors onstage, and that he hung himself because he couldn't accept being fired. I don't know exactly which reason is true, but I guess there are many rumours out there... Either way, he kicked ass!

Ingo was definitely the man - a huge influence on me in many areas of my life. I still don't know of many other metal drummers out there with the same combination of speed, groove, and pure feel that Ingo had. He was always busy around the kit with sick, groovy fills and yet the song always came first and foremost, and that is why he is my favourite drummer and why Helloween in their heyday were untouchable. Much love to Ingo :)
