as an Indian, I was curious to know what pakistanis think about Bollywood. Obv an industry can improve by making quality films at both low costs as well as costly films. The industry should always have improvement and reflection of times as its agenda. Bollywood learnt from Hollywood and now stands head to shoulder with it. Let Bollywood be like Hollywood ( a commercial Cinema) and let "Lollywood" be like European cinema (based on reality and social issues). Why? Lollywood had been historically associated with B class films before partition. When Pakistan was created, a completely new Industry was established in Karachi (Evernew Studios) and they produced very good films throughout 60s. The movies made during this period had been much better than what you see today. Then in 70s industry was moved to Lollywood. The decline started after that. The industry went into the hands of unprofessional people. Majority of the movies of 70s have cheap choreography

Very Good program!! I like that the Express News team discussed this issue. The Pak Film Makers presented very absurd arguments and mostly attacked the distributor personally. Syed Noor and Sangeeta ARE "Lollywood". Pakistanis started watching Indian movies because they were way better in quality. They had nice dances, melodious tunes, modern, we could relate to them, stories were very good, actors were awesome and they kept bringing newer talent and kept on improving technology.

The argument given by the Pak film makers that Indian films have huge budgets is also not valid,as the recent hits like Bheja Fry had an unbelievable low budget of one crore..the entire film was shot in a single flat with small time actors like rajat kapoor and vinay pathak..but it did very well coz of its slick script and dialogues..
