I am rather curious about something. The Doctor starts to call in favors and he gets two people that confuse me. General Strag(spelling?) and that lizard woman. Didnt Strag die in "the poison sky" and the lizard woman in "cold blood"?

@Blasted2Oblivion Strag was the only surviving member of his "clone batch" so there were many other Strags, that's why he's a nurse, as a punishment for their failiure. Vastra is from a group of Silurians that the doctor mentioned in "Cold Blood" although at the time he said all of them died fighting humans so maybe she came up afterwards but the stories do fit.

If you rewatch "Cold Blood" the bit where the Doctor and Nasreen get captured, and he's talking about how they went underground to escape a cataclysmic event which was really the moon comming into alignment with the earth (oh god i can't believe i'm remembering this off the top of my head, why doesn't it work like this in maths exams?) he talks about the ones he met before who died. I assume that Vastra is one of this group.

@ArtemisScribe No, those that he had met before were from encounters he had with different subspecies of Silurians back in his 3rd (John Pertwee) and 5th (Peter Davison) incarnations. Vastra, due to her being of the Wales subspecies encountered by the 11th Doctor, Rory, and Amy, was probably someone that the Doctor met at some point off-camera, perhaps during his solo adventures after "The Big Bang" but before "The Impossible Astronaut"
