@Satanlovezu i did take it to the track for a weekend event. drove it two hours to the track raced all week end and then drove it back home. it performed very very well on the track. handled and braked like a champ. there is a video on you tube out there of it on the track. the engine dynos out at 245 at the rear wheels. far from the fastest car out there, but the power to weight is perfect for me and my old bones.

I have to agree that the straight 6 is a wonderful motor but with this amazing craftsmanship you expect the motor to be more than original. I hope you at least did a 3.2 stroker.

glad you like the car. i am an old school fan and even more than that the car belonged to my son . sadly he passed away and no matter how many hot, cool, wild,amazing engine choices that are out there......this engine is staying. it is far from stock by the way

yeah those are great too, but from what i've read, when doing engine swaps, for some reason FOMOCO engines fit really well and if they're manuals, the shifter comes up through the hole in the trans tunnel perfectly. if i had a VQ35DE i'd make it a DET or maybe pro-charge / super charge it. everything is better on boost!
