What is beauty? Her hands were large so she was trained
to ignore them ? --- how did her life go? Such triumphs in 'Streetcar' and GWTW, what a burnout due to tragic manic/depression. Larry put up with as much as he could take, until he feared he'd do her harm.
She's tremendously talented at film acting. Whenever I hear some silly dweeb of an actress complaining that her own beauty prevents her from being considered a serious actress, one just has to think of Vivien Leigh. Talent rises to the top.
Wonderfully combined for a great women! Viv is Hollywood royalty......like Joan, LOL love her too. Id love it if I could get the title of Dido's song here...... very nice! thanx
Hey there.....mutual appreciation for the song and of course Mrs. Leigh too. Do you happen to know the title of Didos song? If so Id love to know...thanx Tony
although british, vivien leigh starred in two of the most important american films of the last century: Gone with the Wind (which set a new level for epics back in the 1930ies) and A Streetcar named Desire (which introduced the audience to another legend named Marlon Brando) - fully deserved she won oscars for both films
she is a very famous actress, particularly known for her roles as Scarlett o'hara and Blanche Dubois. Check out my other vids for more info and whatnot. a good biography on her is Vivien Leigh by Hugo Vickers and one that is easier to get is Vivien by Alexander Walker
@lushesx3 I absolutely adore this video. Perfect, perfect song choice.Do you know where I can get a copy of this Biography? Or, if it is available online? I am desperate to see it. Thanks for posting :)

Loved the quote at the end from Ship of Fools - her last film. Was she thinking of her less talented second husband?

Very good compilation of clips. The music was appropriate. Although she was a great talent and a great beauty, she also lived a tragic life.
