Thank you for this video. I lived off All Saints st. back 1950 & you have 2 views of the butchers shop & pub down from All Saints Church, Was surprised to return & see that side of the street, brewery, brewery gardens, fish & chip shops on the Mill Fleet, all replaced by flats.I agree with another comment-It was the people who made it the nice place to live back then.
@TheBritrose You are So right I lived on frairs St till I was 11 it was like one big fam. but everything changes somtimes for the best but not in this case.
Thought it was ok in the early 80s remember my nan lived on the fairstead used to be nice then went on there few weeks ago! phew! what a shit hole!... same as north lynn is a shit hole!... how did these places get so bad?...... I like the new shopping street plan pretty cool .. but miss the old layout as well.. shame they have demolished certain things like the old brick foot bridge crossing near the walks! for instance! that palm paper is a real spoil its huge!
Ive lived here 5 years now and love Kings Lynn, I moved here from Warrington Cheshire, Kings Lynn is steeped in history, not many one horse towns still have something to actually look at.

Ah, Gaywood Road (0.17) I lived in that terrace, two doors from the big house. Had very happy times there. Interesting to see these old pictures.

Kings Lynn.....fine old town.
Nothing wrong with Buildings and streets, the problem is with people.
The potential of the town, with it's history, river and park is being waisted.
