  • Very helpful! Probably couldn't have done it without you...

  • that was a great video bro... i give you an A+

  • Thank you do much! Very helpful.

  • excellent video man, had the same problem with my 92 chevy truck, lock froze up in the hardware store parking lot this evening , now I must do this same thing tomorrow in their lot. Nice to know what I'm going to need before attempting this job, thanks again!

  • Can all the tools be rented from the auto parts store or do they have to be bought?

My '78 Cadillac Deville needs a new ignition lock cylinder.Seems like the procedure in this video will be about the same for mine since i don`t have an airbag in the wheel either.

  • oi

what year camarod o you have?

i have a 94 z and i think the wires inside the colim are touchign and makig the car shut off after 10 mins so make a video on thats and it be awesome so i can see how its done so i can go out and do it and get it done firts time you know

    the end

    :p

  • this helped me with my truck when my paper thin key finaly called er quits

  • @Dylan464 I'm glad my video helped you out.

  • Thanks man I had the exact same problem

  • The ignition cylinder on my '90 LeSabre got real hard to turn and I could not get it to the start position at all. I watched your video about 4 times, went to Advance Auto Parts, got the tools and I was done in 45 minutes.

I noticed you didn't show how to remove the ring that holds the lock plate in place. That took the longest to get out . I had to modify my ring spreader a little and used a couple of small screwdrivers to pry it off.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video!

  • Thank you for making this video. It really helped me out of a jam. Your step by step process really helped me out.

  • Didnt u miss a few steps when installing the ignition switch? If u simply put it in and miss the install steps, your swicth will come right back out.

  • 5:23- dont pull buzzer switch out. (harder to replace)- just hit screwdriver with hammer and cut white tab off so its not in the way of the screw

  • THANX 4 THE VIDEO IT REALLY HELPED!!!

  • Thanks For The Video Good Advise...

  • Hi Mike. thanks for very well explained video! 5/5 like always.
