  • Not a good version

  • Bitch to memorize but such a fun version to play<3

  • John Williams is a genius

  • good times....wish i could go back to that concert

  • Yeah williams had arranged it for the University of Michigan and the USC Trojan Marching Band as a combined piece, and conducted it on the field as well.

  • Williams also used parts of the 1984 Olympic Fanfare in this arrangement.

  • Not bad. Not bad at all. Never liked this particular anthem, but thanks to John Towner Williams it has been given a new life.

  • Just played this arrangement this past weekend with my 11/12 band for our county. We were directed by Patrick Dunnigan from FSU who thought we were actually much better than some all state bands he's directed. That trumpet part always gives me chills.

  • thats cool what did you play?

  • @jpmarano Of course this, Passo A Sei from Giovanni Rossini, arranged by Patrick Dunnigan, Slava from Leonard Bernstein, arranged by Clare Grundman, Sanctuary from Frank Tichelli, and Midway March from John Williams.

  • thats cool, haha but i was actually talking about instrumnet, but thats cool too! haha

  • I was in that :D

  • What did you play?

  • is the same arrangement from the 2007 world series?

  • uhmm i have no idea, sorry haha

  • @bombersmrz it was specially arranged by williams for the 2004 rose bowl

  • This is really awesome. I'm playing this song in band and anytime I need to know how something goes, I refer to this.

  • thats awesome! haha sorry its kinda bad quality but im glad you get use out of this! what instrument do you play?

  • Cool arrangement...oops brass (key signature at 1:03 and 1:07)

  • The arrangement was written with that dissonance. I was the one playing that part. 1st horn thought it was weird too, but it turned out pretty nice actually.

  • haha! i was totally in this band! 4th chair F horn ^_^

  • Is this the GMEA South Region Honor Band? If it is, I'm the first oboe :)

  • yes it is! i remember watching you guys(the oboes) and seeing one always having to put his/her ring back in place, i guess it kept moving. but i loved your band, i cant wait to get into the 11/12 grade honor bands.

  • this ia a good band
