Neverknewtillnow: All these little bits of trivia were told to me by my deceased aunt who followed all the Big Band music and was pesident of a drummer in Ben Burnie's band and got to know a lot of musicians, So it wasn't all me just a savy family. Thank you too

FYI, the Smithsonian collection "American Songbook" features a brilliant, uptempo version by Peggy Mann and Benny Goodman of "Every Time We Say Goodbye" that is better than --- anybody! (Even Ella!) Nice to see Mann's picture on this video...
A much admired singer whose voice has a lot of traits reminiscent of a young Peggy Lee. Like Bea Wain, an impeccable musician with beautiful pronunciation, great breath control, wonderful feeling for melody. Not as expressive as Bea but, as in Peggy Lee's case, holding back proved a plus.
YOW! Peggy Mann! I must plead ignorance but what a voice! What a sensitive heart felt performance. I got some researchin' to do! Thank you so much for posting this. I love Bea Wain...but Peggy Mann...WOW! A star is born...70 years too late, but better late than never.
wow 0 Dislikes, theres still faith in humanity :)

Bea Wain and husband Andre Berush was Mr. and Mrs Music on radio way back and they were a great team. Difficult song to sing and she does it so well.

the jbsn of 1983 her rendition is much better, her voice is much more "mature" and her diction is much more clearer
