  • Hey, thanks for posting! :)

  • Still love this after all these years!

  • 1976

  • Wow... and now I finally know where the backing track from that one 2pac song is sampled from.

  • Beautiful *instrumental*. Not a song, because no-one sings in it.

  • @SamBlob its still a song even if it doesnt have singing buddy

  • @riveroflonging "song n 1 a piece of music with words, composed for the voice 2 the tuneful call made by certain birds or insects 3 the act or process of singing" - `Collins Concise Dictionary & Thesaurus

It ain't a song if no-one's singing, "buddy".

  • do ctr + thumbs up and look wat's happen

  • So simple and still so beautiful.

  • I listen to this song every friday before I get off the work.. I use it to usher in the weekend. Thank you George Benson

  • I imagine hang gliding in the Bahamas with this on my ipod.

  • @artfay69 Where are you going to hang glide from in the Bahamas? Is there anywhere to jump off from there?

  • There is nothing like being in SoCal, driving on the PCH (Hwy 1) with your top down (or your windows open), while listening to this beautiful piece of music, and letting the pacific breeze hit you. It gives you a feeling that mere words cannot really describe. This song (for me) optimizes what smooth cool jazz is all about.

  • Bobby Womack wrote this In 1971, on an album with jazz guitarist Gábor Szabó, he introduced his song "Breezin'", which later became a hit for George Benson. Beautiful!!!

  • @oneluv72

Wow I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

  • i see 11 deaf people are viewing this song...

HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THIS????

  • This song brings me to a place where I can imagine that I'm cruising the coast of Malibu in a nice luxury car with the windows down and with a beautiful girl in the seat next to me...

  • It's a summer theme

  • efrens broadcast ahhh title of this song fits the rythem mr benson i remember this

  • I once hated the ending of a movie I went to, jumped in my car, put on "Breezin" and drove to Toronto!! It was a breeze, all the way!!!!!LOL

  • There are just some songs that INSTANTLY bring back fond memories of my childhood. This is DEFINITELY one of them. I hope this song has the same effect on all of you too.

  • @Oaklandgirlpitlover1

    you're absolutely right.

i'm responding because my "thumbs up" button doesn't work.

this song brings back the days before depression :D <3

  • This song came out before smooth jazz was even coined. It's jazz.

  • Damn!!! All People want to do is Battle !! A bit Boring folks.. I dont Love Smooth Jazz as a Ruel myself because it Does'nt take any Chances.. I like Miles,Coletrane, Louis Armstrong, etc. But a classic piece is a classic piece.. Like this one; and also you have Bob James, & Pat Metheeny.. That have made Great Works.. Stop with all the comparisons and just Enjoy the Music.. Fucking JAZZ Beef !! That shit is lame in it self.. LOL

  • @somos999 Thank you very much for the good quality sound.

  • I generally hate---fucking loathe, actually--"smooth" jazz. However, if I had to listen to it--as opposed to my beloved Bebop , Swing, Stride etc...--George Benson would be my first choice. He is incredibly talented well beyond this insipid genre.

  • @Maafa1619 Why do you hate smooth jazz? :( It's soo....Smoooooooooooth.

  • @Joebonekey Smooth jazz is to real Jazz as Justin Beiber and T Pain are to Otis Redding and The Rolling Stones.

  • @Maafa1619 I guess the titles are defining this. I don't think I've ever listened to any smooth jazz tbh. Gospel and Soul is what I always thought as a kid as smooth jazz but that was childhood lol. I listen to Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, Keith Jarret, etc.. Power houses in real jazz to me :D.

  • love him very much, but eric gale is way smoother!

  • I was 6 in 1976..I think of this song playuing on a beach..with lots of warm weather..cold drinks and EVERYONE having fun..THANK YOU for posting this!

  • R.I.P. Ralph MacDonald (March 15, 1944 - December 18, 2011), who played percussion in this song.

  • @david91326 oh man... my aunt died on exactly the same date too...

  • @david91326 I'm deeply saddened to hear of Ralph MacDonald's passing.

He also wrote some superb R 'n'B classics.

  • @david91326 ...and penned songs like "just the two uf us"

  • Music is his Life!

  • WOW Love This Song!!!

  • he came to sahara thane high sierra show room 1976 it was the best times.

    master guitar man.

    pl

  • If guitar players haven't tried jamming over the loops to this progression, you're missing out. Keep it tasteful and damn near everything you try in the key works.

  • @cm0220ster thanks ill give it a go

  • WARM BREW BABY!!

  • @biscuitsbiggestfan

    Chicago must have good taste!

  • i cant stop fuckin smiling, this is making me soo happy

  • very good music for ever

  • MASTERPIECE

  • this song makes me think of taking a drive along the Pacific Coast Highway on a warm spring day.

  • always makes me feel better;)))))

  • kick it one time and bring it back

  • Ohh, this is my song!

  • Lovin i ;)

  • Oh, bless you my friend. This studio version was nowhere to find. Time to chill

  • Why shouldn't we check out your band? Sounds like a good idea to me!! And thanks for posting this great classic!!

  • Laid back tune man ,Junior year in High school (76) brings back the good ole daze. Can you dig it Man ,Right On .

  • This song takes me for a ride ^^

  • Who else thinks this song should be called Chillin'?

  • YZ - Tower With The Power

  • ? guess someone can play base

  • @philrizzuto1 you mean bass ?

  • as soon as this started playing my room started to smell nasty and funky

    Must have been that bassline!

  • So pretty!

  • so down to earth!!!

  • breezin is beautiful cant help the beauty

  • There are 9 hopeless people then....!!!! And I feel sorry for them....

  • Some Surgeons DO play it while they are operating! I was a Theatre Sister and I know that patients can hear even under anaesthetic! It is the last sense to go! You know the surgeon cares if he picks this one!

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • George Benson sooths the soul of mankind.

  • this song makes everything better. they should play this shit in the recovery room of hospitals

  • Thank You for this. It's makin a bad day better.

  • This version of Breezin' is the best of all. . . better than that of Gabor Szabo and Donny Osmond.

  • greatest cruisin' music known to mankind:)

  • <3

  • love this song. :)

  • Check out The guitar work of Pat Caseria in "Cool Spring Breeze" on Video Responses. Seriously, this is some of the nicest playing to come in for a landing lately. What a great sounding guitar!

  • appreciate the music and the man or leave

  • proves that black musicians STILL got da most soul in their playin'

  • George Benson stole this song.

  • If a normal guys guitar's fret board is covered in sweat, this dude's fret board is covered with honey.

  • This for me even rises above his later more commercial stuff. I saw him in the early 1980s live: just before less thrilling stuff like "Lady love me one more time". A great voice but even more genius guitar playing.

  • there are 7 deaf people wandered to this channel.....

  • Thia breeze mann....for years ...and still breezin...

  • The only other song that holds a candle to this is, "Summer Madness" by Kool and the Gang. Go listen---after this is over.

  • If this song don't chill you out, you're hopeless.

  • This is by far the greatest smooth jazz record of all time.(In my opinion).

  • I just commented on his song "Masquerade" but this song is just the bomb diggity. I was just a kid in the 70's but I remember a better time than this day in age. This song reminds me of say HO HO HO for the icecream truck, barbeque's over grandma's, jump ropin, gum chewin, hand clappin, bike ridin, hide go seekin...much love to those who remember the good times.

  • I got pralumss aint nobody callin back

Now watdafcuk is happenin with my ballin caps????

    :(((((

    FUCKK ALL YALL

  • Don't you think that jazz is for the curious people, for the people who like mysteries. For me jazz holds a great mystery. It makes me think but also relax. When you listen to jazz don't you get a funny feeling of elegance with a slight charm of mystery. I don't know about you but no other music makes me feel like this. Not that there is no other great music but nothing is like jazz.

  • @vandalski858 If ya looking for mystery man, check out John Coltrane's "Wise One." It don't get any better..

  • One of my favourites! I recommend listening to it on vinyl, sound of perfection!!

  • If this song doesn't make you smile, you're probably dead.

  • I just cannot help but imagine myself on the 17th green at Augusta with this song.

Can someone hand me that 7 iron???

  • So Smooth.....

  • unbelievable. why watch the news when you have this.

    thanks.

  • @Furyfromthesky25

    The news are 100% lies.

    This is TRUTH!

  • from an era when music was good music no matter the genre

  • Isn't the LP STILL the biggest selling jazz one ever?! George could've retired long ago on the power of this & the LP, but thankfully, he's still playing.

  • and a masterpiece it is!

  • Just love this one. It stands in a class of its own. Thank you for posting the studio version!!

  • No one cares about your band kid. We just wanna hear some classics, k?

  • @RyanLovesYou123

hahaha troll! someone's on their period!

  • @somos999 Cute.

  • @RyanLovesYou123

ew. no. periods are not cute.

  • @somos999 You mad?

  • @RyanLovesYou123 You're bad.

  • @RyanLovesYou123 he mad

  • @RyanLovesYou123 somebody played this record at a fashion show in a shopping mall

  • Thank you so much for uploading this piece of art!

  • listen to this while watching any porno

    makes it 20 times better

    ..trust me...

  • SIMPLEMENTE HERMOSA!

  • Maybe if Jazz was the Detroit Public Schools Genre of Music of choice there would be less violence. Not saying Mr George Bensons', Najee's, or Mr Tim Bowmans' music would solve the financial situation as well, but at least the kids wouldn't continue to fight/ shoot one another.

  • i broke up wit my gurl and hearin dis song make me feel a lil better

  • I always felt he must have had Wes Montgomery as an idol of his own - his style reminds me of his. I love both guitarists!! RIP Wes.

  • I just love "Breezin'" It is such a terrific instrumental. I don't have the proper adjectives to do this justice. It is just so darn appealing and delightful to the ear and the heart. All I can say is I have loved this song for a long, long time and that will never change - just love that "Breezn'. Thank your for a great post.

  • Fuckin Brilliant!!!

  • best of the best breezin

  • This is excellent elevatror, library, bumper music, etc. On Both Sides Now forum I questioned as to what the song was and someone gave the million dollar answer...:) Princess Crusies played this recently..

  • Old school music still da best! and im 16 lol

  • It's playing on the radio right now (NYC - WLTW); I thought that this was Kenny G for years. Finally, I found it.

  • always play after something good happens to me its the icing on the cake

  • When I was 10, my dad used to put this in the cd player in his truck when whenever we drove to the lake.

  • Just remember folks, this album won the Grammy for Song of the Year "This Masquerade," and Album of the Year, the first "jazz" album to ever accomplish this feat. And this was a year before George hit it big with "Weekend in L.A." George is a Jazz "God" as far as I am concerned.

  • Wish I could get a shave as smooth as this! Anyone got a Mach 6 Quattro Turbo!!

    Gotta love George...

  • This song makes me want to know him.

  • This, Machine Gun from The Commodores and Outta Space from Billy Preston are the best instrumentals of the 1970s!!!

  • I always wondered where Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince got this beat from!! Now I know, "MR GEORGE BENSON".

Actually, Im getting more into Jazz (now that Im in my late 30's). I surprised my woman with 2 tickets to see Najee & Tim Bowman in concert for her birthday. She was literally in shock!! (MAN! TALK ABOUT SOME GOOD LOVIN' THAT NIGHT!!) lol

  • that intro is real familiar where's it from?

  • new morning alarm!

  • SUMMER!

  • monsieur benson

  • Real Relaxing!

  • Smooth!!!!!

  • all i want to say in here is to repeat the words to mr. george (the greatest) benson who said to earl klugh: right on earl klugh! well also right on and on and on etc. to mr. george benson. BTW is that the great george benson guitar playing the music backgrounds for the tv series heat of the night? it sure sounds like you mr. benson.

  • 4 ppl aren't breezin'

  • This wonderful song played over and over while the love of my life and me were headed to the beach on a beautiful blue sky summer day. 17 and 19 years old. Oh how I miss those days. This work of art is timeless. It could have been written yesterday.

  • There's only one thing you can say about this song. It's perfect

  • This song is just BEAUTIFUL!!! I vwill be playing this at my wedding reception!

It makes you picture love, happiness, friends and just being happy.

  • George Benso is the man! Thanks for posting somos

  • What can I say? This is the "freeingist" song I've ever heard. Thanks for the memories, George Benson :))))))) Always made me feel so darn GOOD. What a talent! God bless all the musical artists who take us away from the mundane of life and make us feel really ALIVE.

  • What can I say. This is the "freeingist" song I've ever heard. Thanks for the memories, George Benson :)))))))

  • Brings tears to my eyes. Fantastic instrumental. Better than all that crap on the radio today. reminds me of living in Brooklyn in the late 70's( my early teens). Block parties, chillin' on the stoop on a hot summer day.

  • I want that guitar! I need that guitar! LOL George can make his guitar TALK to you; i'll probably never be able to play like him, but I wanna try :)

  • This song just get me floating on a natural high. So happy I was young and free when music such as this was being produce. WOW so glad to hear this song. We use to just chill out on this one..great song!! Thanks Somos!!

  • My first concert ever...September 9, 1979. Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. I was 14, my brother was 16. It was the first time we ever smelled pot...and there was a lot of it being passed around. Great show.

  • men i love this song. most people of my age doen't listen to real music like this and i hate comments about young people only listen to rap and bullshit. for the record i'm just 16

  • YZ - Tower With The Power

  • Ohhhhhhhh yeah! I'm lovin' it! Play that guitar, boy!

  • I met George in a dressing room one weekend when we had live music on weekend Good Morning America. He said he lived in New Jersey and I asked him about guitars. George likes Ibanez and that surprised me. This man was so generous and real.

  • This song makes me feel optimistic about life. George Benson is a master of his craft...
