There is nothing like being in SoCal, driving on the PCH (Hwy 1) with your top down (or your windows open), while listening to this beautiful piece of music, and letting the pacific breeze hit you. It gives you a feeling that mere words cannot really describe. This song (for me) optimizes what smooth cool jazz is all about.

I generally hate---fucking loathe, actually--"smooth" jazz. However, if I had to listen to it--as opposed to my beloved Bebop , Swing, Stride etc...--George Benson would be my first choice. He is incredibly talented well beyond this insipid genre.

Don't you think that jazz is for the curious people, for the people who like mysteries. For me jazz holds a great mystery. It makes me think but also relax. When you listen to jazz don't you get a funny feeling of elegance with a slight charm of mystery. I don't know about you but no other music makes me feel like this. Not that there is no other great music but nothing is like jazz.
