It's not a dual core atom. Dual core Atom processors aren't coming until 2010. This processor has hyper threading, which is a really lame version of "dual core".

they definitly were, both being top on the market. Obviously trying to top the other, as you can see on this Vaio it has 2 Atom processors as The Air had 2 Intel Core 2 Duo's, but the Vaio has wayyyy more ports to it which is better for people and computer users

this is very small, thin and extremely light with its cheap plastic. also the sides looks very similar to the mac laptops along with a similar spaced out keyboard the mac laptops have. also you can see that the laptop has unnecessary stickers. I love it lol!

thanks for proving my point macbook pro is made out of aluminum scratch resistant and highly durable because it's made out of a metal and not PLASTIC WHICH MEANS IT'S NOT CHEAP LOL! sure there'll be a dent but better a dent than a dent that turns into a crack. the unibody can take a drop and suffer a minor dent but you drop that cheap plastic it will crack and break apart lol! mac is quality and reliability, the hardware is great and the os is amazing! think before you make a dumb comment.

If it cant get at least a 3.0 score on windows 7 its not worth buying. My laptop with 1.8GZ and 1.75GB of ram got a 3.0. Cost me 500. Definately not buying this laptop, espicially since the thinner they are the less ports they have and the bigger chance for a lack of a cd/dvd drive.

Second, it's a SSD/Solid State Drive which is much faster than an ordinary drive. Plus they're small as they're still quite expensive so it's nothing to laugh at.

well could you explain why the dell adamo for the basic model is the same price as the MacBook air $1,499. With the Dell you only get 1.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, way slower intel graphics, and only 800Mhz DDR3 RAM. I mean with the MacBook air for the same price you get a 1.86Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 1066MHZ DRR3 RAM & a NVIDIA 9400M GPU, if anything is pointless is the dell not the MacBook Air :)
