  • Laura's beautiful and powerful voice makes me proud to be Irish

  • Laura Branigan was CLEARLY under rated. She was every bit the artist that Madonna and Celine Dion are, That being said, I grew up in North East Ohio and am thrilled every time someone I didn't go to high school with acknowleges Kevin Raleigh and/or MSB. Kevin was always my favorite member of MSB. Laura's songs are timeless and she is missed!

  • this is rediculous,sorry Kevin

  • Love this one!

  • This is such an underrated song by Laura Branigan. It's one of my faves. Should have been a much bigger hit. Laura truly never got the recognition she so deserved. RIP, Laura.

  • laura is a legend

  • 'Moonlight On Water' is one of my favorite songs from brilliant artist Laura Branigan. Actually I love everything by her but this track is one of my most favorites.Laura was very overlooked & underrated singer. She should have been as big as Madonna, Cher and Whitney Houston!!!

"Laura Branigan" (1990) is one of her best albums

  • @irina1296 correct and the voice was one of the bests, gretz

  • my fave laura branigan song, i'd never seen the video thank you soooooooo much!

  • hermoso gracias x compartirlo.

  • Sookie2007, Thank you for the Laura videos. Yours are the best. I didn't know there were so many different performances by her until I stumbled upon YouTube bringing up a lot up yours. She was a beautiful and talented artist.

    Thanks again!

  • The original version of this song rivals "Show Me Heaven" as her best pop song, in my opinion. Both still sound contemporary.

  • I used to play this song at Club Chameleon in Boston!

  • I have been looking for this song since it came out!! I believe that was in '89 or '90 I always thought that Laura Branigan should have had a bigger hit with this track. Thanks for posting!!

  • Laura Ann Branigan[1] (July 3, 1957 August 26, 2004)[2] was a Grammy Award-nominated American singer-songwriter and actress of Italian and Irish ancestry. She is best known in the United States for her 1982 Platinum-certified hit "Gloria" and in Europe for the number one single "Self Control". Branigan is also remembered for the Top 10 "Solitaire," and for the number one AC hit "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You."

  • i never thought this version was better than the original wow!

  • Oh wow. I've never seen this video before. It's amazing. Thanks so much for posting it.......

  • Very better the original.

  • She looked and sounded her best in this video!

  • oh SOOKIE U DID A GREAT JOB ^ ^b

  • I meant FIRE hose, in fact, I think I need one after watching this

Col. Low C, EWO of Branigan's Brigade

  • I miss her dearly too. This video is incredible, sooooo sexy, thanks for the re-mix sookie. That kick she gave on the chair was awesome. I hope she never gets mad at me (crossing legs as I type this lol). And you're worried about that hire hose Branifan777?

Col. Low C, EWO of Branigan's Brigade

  • How i miss this Beautiful Lady.

  • she is not only sexy, she got one heck of an amazing voice and talent

  • Gr8 Branigan track from N Underated LP! Fans should check out the self-titled LP & the original version of this song (Whose vid has mysteriously gone missing?!?!?)

  • when they show her in that yellow outfit, she puts the most sexiest faces ever

  • wow awsome video

  • It's always a pleasure to see the work you did on this video, Sookie

I also think this is one of her best produced and sung songs.

    Awesome!

  • Thanks for posting this sookie, nice to see Some video of Laura.

I prefer the original version also, and if people would quit pulling BS & vids, it would probably still be availible :(

    We Love You Laura!

  • Absolutely not. I agree with you 100%.

  • Am I the only person in the world who hates remixes with a passion.

Laura was wonderful, she doesn't need to be remixed.

  • Why not?

Let's remix Laura... for she surely doesn't need it, but she would've loved it !!!

  • I'm all for keeping Branigan's music alive and contemporary. Remixes are good to keep her memory alive, as time marches on, to draw in younger fans.

  • I read that a dance group called Fire on Blonde did this song. Was this after Kevin Raleigh or before he did it?

  • I dont know about Fire on Blonde but this was done after Kevin's version

  • Easily her best song! I prefer the original version though, not this remix.

  • laura was a class act! She looked so sexy in this video.

  • i know, she's real sexy in this vid

  • I suppose you'd have to be a native from Ohio to know that this song was originally by Kevin Raleigh who was in the MSB (Michael Stanley Band).....*sigh*...I like this cover but I really like the original the best.

  • Its funny when I was living in FL in 1990, I was playing the Laura Branigan version of Moonlight On Water and my friend in the car who grew up in St Croix just freaked and said. This is Kevin Raleigh's song. The next day I bought his cd and I must say I like his version also.

  • OMG! THANK YOU! I DO remember the original and loved it! I love Laura's version just b/c of her strong voice. Thank you!!!!

  • love this!!!

  • totally brough back memories. I never heard this remix. its good thou.

  • she,s too good;;;;

  • Came back for more! Wow.. Love this song !!!

And those lyrics... Instead of dreaming 'bout all that money, We've got much simplier things to do! Makes me think of somebody I knew

  • I'm glad you guys all keep coming back. I'll keep coming back too and try to bring more people here to keep Laura's memory and music alive.

  • I hope someday someone in the music industry dicovers this song, gives it a new, fresh sound and takes it to the top. Using Laura's original vocals it would surely work

  • I like the original better.

  • I was a big fan of Laura's in the 80's and think her songs are timeless and still hold up today. She had a very strong voice and very beautiful too. She died the same year as my mother and was shocked to hear she had passed away. But her songs will live on in all of her fans. And with a new generation of kids who have never heard her music will create new fans. We love you Laura

  • @theresaellen63 same here. graduated in 1984 and I have the cassettes I bought back in the day. It was a shock when she died. I have a compilation CD. somewhere I have the cassettes.

  • oh honestly, celine dion got some of her moves and makin faces from Laura's

  • it's not a hit becoz there's SEX on it's title and what the heck is sex on the beach? LOL not all people are open to sex ya know?

and why the heck she doesn't look like this anymore, she looks much different when she got older (see VH1 's where are they now? clip at laurabraniganonline dot com

and don't say it's the age . lots of aged women still hot, duh!

  • she did look like a hot mature one in the early 90's

  • and during the late 80s to early 90s she was like proud that she got slim down . in fact , she's embarassed about the gloria video and said she looked "well-feed" in that video LOL!

so so she went from well-feed to slim to well-feed again in the 2000's??

  • totally AWESOME video...the original is very very good, but I LOVE this!!!

  • How exciting this video clip make us feel.

  • RIP laura, you were truely amazing and talented, your music has brought joy to a lot of people and thank you for that special gift.xxxx

  • Laura is amazing! A+++

  • she's so hot in this video

  • it's not a hit becoz there's SEX on it's title and what the heck is sex on the beach? LOL not all people are open to sex ya know?

  • ditto to pretty much all that has been said...things looked great for this to be her next Top 40 hit, then the bottom dropped out. that meant the rest of the album went nowhere as well. a terribly overlooked and undervalued gem of the music industry!

  • Not according to Laura herself....she faulted her promoters for this song not doing better. I fault someone...I'm not sure who, because it should have been a monster hit! I don't care for this remix though....the original is better.

  • exelente!!!!!!!!!!!! donde puedo conseguir audio de este remix!????

  • what a true star laura was! i love her voice and music so much, sorely missed

  • I've said it elsewher, but how come Celine Dion became such a mega star when Laura as by far the better voice? Was it because Dion's record label/management were more vigorous in promoting her? I don't know. Laura could sing any sort of song. She was ace and had more depth and tone to her voice.

  • She had a history of changing managers. Atlantic really did do a massive push on this song and cd. timing was a bit off. this song and spanish eddie were ahead of there time.

  • I have to agree...this song was a sudden "hit" on all the late night programs and then disappeared. It was so different than everything else on the air. Ahead of its time. Seemed like it would be massive and then fell. Mismanaged career for one of pop's best voices.

  • incredible. should have become a massive hit.
