  • lame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It look not something special in the first, but then.....then it s not what you could imagine!...

  • de todos os acidentes ambientais esse foi sem duvida nenhuma o q mais me impressionou

  • very comprehensive video

  • this song is awesome!!

Whats the name of it?? lol

  • I suppose you're referring to the song at the beginning of the vid.

The song is "Made in Thailand" from a local group named Carabao

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND

The 1st song name is "Made in Thailad". by

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND Made in Thailand by Carabao. Legends! :)

  • .

Creo que este tipo de desastres no son posibles de evitar pero lo que si podemos es reducir de manera considerable las probabilidades de que estos pasen, cuidando el medio ambiente, a medida de desarrollar correctamente la sustentabilidad.

  • ok it was funny to see the text part , nobody understands whats going on ...

ehm ok this sounds like a HUGE insult Muhahahaha ah seriously wave crashes the island .. nobody knows what it is .. ?

and the wave wached fish and other food a shore so if the tourists didnt figured that much, shitty for the people but they got some life experience there and althou its somewhat horrible the thrill will make up for that , and again nice to see people helpin each other in times of need , nice vid btw

  • @dreakheart

it was the first time it appeared. So, of course they didn't know what it was.

    Unbelievable story! Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent job.

I was looking for a depiction of how the sea directly above the earthquake would appear. That animation was excellent. Estimates are that the initial uprising-generated waves would have been 37 m high (120 feet).

The thing often overlooked in earthquake-generated tsunamis is that the entire water column between the sea floor and the surface is set in motion, which involves tremendous energy that is propagated from the sliding plates to the water column to the tsunami waves.

  • Well done and thanks for posting it. We were there too- it's my loud voice on the video- yelling for my friend, who is searching for his belongings. Have you been back? I went back two years later and was happy to meet some of the helpful staff and the people staying in the tent next to us. Take care!

  • So I guess the thirty who went back to Khao didn't make it.... thanks for this video...

  • what's with the music, man? *_*

  • its not about the music actually watch the movie next time dumb ass

  • Great Vid, goes 4 an oscar!

  • very well done video friend. Thanks for all the information you put into it.

May they poor souls rest in peacy. I lost a friend there to.

  • nemo :D

  • wow dude thats a great vid well done!!

  • really nice video!!

enjoyed it and at the same time felt really sorry for all the dead people and those who went through this I mean the survivors..

This video shows the reality of the nature calamaty. Thanks for posting it here.

  • Well Done. I was in Phuket at the time. I never realized what took place in the Similins...

  • reason= the waves in the back-ground @ 4:14 are still normal and breaking as usual,,, you can see the cut line of the new footage layered very clearly....

  • Hi Unitman, The clip you believe to be fake was analyzed by -BBC -NZH -CBC -TF1 -Piooner Pr. for National Geographic Channel - University of Washington (Dept. of Earth and Space Sciences) Some of the above media has successively bought the rights (including the clip that you believe fake) for their documentaries. If I really manipulated the clip, then I would have committed a FRAUD, easily ending in a Tribunal and get a very heavy fine. I should be really stupid !! .. (continues)
  • dumbass, the waves seem normal because amount of water has risen..

  • 1unitman I work in CG, and I'm sorry to say, you are completely full of shit. Is it comfortable in your mom's basement?

  • .. (continuing)

In another hand, if my skills in C.Graphic were so good (unluckily aren't) to simulate sea raising with waves at 4:14, then I would probably be eligible for a job on some top-end CG houses, as Pixar or similar :-)

Sequences clearly in Computer graphic are from 0:56 til 2:10.

The video, including 4:14, is real and untouched.

The purpose of this video is not to impress people with some kind of trick, but more simply to show an experience that has signed me deeply.

  • 1unitman do some research on "compression artefacts" and then watch again.

Also, "Editors" don't do CG, they just cut pictures. You would know that if you had even an ounce of knowledge about CG and Video.

  • Iunitman, I am an editor and don't live in my mom's basement typing hate comments - I bet you hate Thai people

  • @1unitman1 u've never been to the beach have u? that is normal, the existing water is retreating and flowing over the incoming waves, which also seem alot more arrested in their speed (almost standing and breaking) due to the outgoing water. seriously, I can tell fake footage, this is not fake.

  • Very good production! Well done.

  • well Done... Thank you

  • im sorry 4 what happened...... :s

  • snyone know the name of that song? [the beginning]

  • The song is "Made in Thailand" played by Carabao (a Thai band)
