Depends on what you want... Pearl makes good pedals... as does DW, or if you're looking for long footboard... axis is the way to go. it all comes down to preference really.

Pearl just recently came out with the Demon Drive series. They're direct drive like the Axis pedals so there's no chain and you get better rebound. They're better than Axis cause you can convert it between either longboard or shortboard. Tama also recently made a change to their iron cobra pedals by adding a spring underneath the foot board. I heard you can't really tell any difference, though.
