Well, I realize the "fight control" theme you mentioned is clearly there in Fight Club. Tyler Durden and his organization have the ideal to destroy everything that controls us, money, materialism, looks, appearence, banks, bosses. Norton also defies his boss, so he fights control too yes. But I think norton eventually realized that the fight-control ideals actually controlled him too, far more than any other thing in the world, that's why he had to kill Durden. more ->
We actually proved the meaning of the movie, when it comes down to it Fight Club doesn't want clear cut answers and polite conversations. It wants guts and truth and the power to believe in your personal definition of reality. One day we'll fist fight it out, that'll be our theme ;)

I guess there are a lot of possible interpretations of the story, and we still havent mentioned the official theme and meaning of the movie.

We actually proved the meaning of the movie, when it comes down to it Fight Club doesn't want clear cut answers and polite conversations. It wants guts and truth and the power to believe in your personal definition of reality. One day we'll fist fight it out, that'll be our theme ;)

*SPOILERS* It's also even more than that.When you brake it down enough,it comes down to the narrator finding love through Marla,and becoming a man,gaining responsibility by shooting himself in the mouth and ultimately independance from Tyler and truly doing something with his life and becoming somebody.

i look around through these posts and i see all this potential. so many ppl see "tyler" as an idol, his life,as a mans life shloud be. but most of us just dont have the balls to do anything about it. we watch the film and we know we want it, yet we are too afraid of change. imagine the power ppl lyk us wud have if we did something to change the world. websites should be created with members who understand "tyler"... creations such as this could lead the world into a new age,an age of freedom
