Instead of think that India is part of the west why don't they think the west is part of the east. This guy is wrong. English words don't go back to Sanskrit. Also, Vedic was not the vernacular, but rather the more ancient form of Sanskrit. The vernacular tongue was actually Prakrit

I know exactly what you mean. There would be nothing wrong for them to hypothesize such a connection. Unfortunately, for them, most English words, at best, akin to Sanskrit (i.e. tree, skt. dhatu, or taru). fact is, without sanskrit, your european languages would not have any 'grammar'.. They would be all "Prakriti", or natural languages, like chinese, egyptian and japanese..
