ahhh idn about this game, from what I know of the SEALs it doesnt seem as close to what they do as the old ones, which were amazing. this kinda look like they threw the special ops stuff out the window to try and make money by making another COD type game. Socom used to be great for actaully feeling like you were spec ops and sneaking around and shit. But now the best spec ops game iv found is operation flashpoint

Now it has the basic call of duty controls and you dont have to open your menu to throw your grenades and shit. I definitely like it

the socom games on the ps2 used to be so much better then this crap. wtf is going on! the characters in the video look like some fucking g.i. joe idiots. the other socom games were definitelly a lot more navy seal orientated and the fact that you were inserted and extracted in and out of missions so you could rearm and regroup made the old games much better then what this one looks to be. hopefully im wrong but this did not impress at all :(

They decided to focus on the younger crowd with this game which is fine... That's ther business decision... It took us a month and a half to take Baghdad and sieze control of the situation, a month in a half without a supply line of food and water or medical evacuation. I'd say i know what i'm fucking talking about buddy, i know what war looks like, and it looks nothing like a lone SEAL shooting out of cover.

They are not not prepared for direct action with so many hostiles, in the small teams they op in, they do not carry enough firepower to deal with high threats like that. Units like MARSOC, who specialize primarily in direct action and travel in teams of 14, have the far better edge in d/a on the SEALs, who primarily conduct special recon in 7 man teams.
