1) Acting: When will people realize Jlo is a terrible actress? Her performence in this flick was an insult to all that is acting.
2) Plot holes: More than I can count, hell why was selenas mom upset with the resturant ordeal?
3) Acting: Everybody elses acting sucked just as much as Jlo's did.

The guy who plays Selena's dad is Captain Adama from Battlestar Galactica. I knew I'd seen him before... it's pretty cool when you make an actor connection from a 12-year-old movie.

the tragedy of mexico: claiming a chicano as their own. had selena been born in mexico, she would have died toothless and hungry at 40.
even becoming a mistress to a rich guy wouldn't have been an option since only white looking girls are considered pretty and she was dark and ethnic looking.

god this trailer gives me chills in a both good and bad or rather sad way. I love this trailer and movie and jlo looks so identical to selena and i think selena was a better singer but Jlo is good too and this movie wouldnt be as great without her in it and she did selena justice with this role love it all!

that bitch yolanda was president of her fan club, and she was stealing money from her and selena fired her (she considered yolanda as a good friend). selena fired her because she was obviously lying. and on her way out of the hotel she shot her on the back, calling her a bitch...she died of blood loss.
its sad. really ironic how her biggest fan killed her. bitch was on tv a few weeks ago "explaining" why she did it. her side of the story. i just cussed the tv out.

It will NEVER completly register to me that Selena is gone. Never. From age 14 to now 29, it just STILL hasn't clicked in, just doesn't seem real. More like a horrible NIGHTMARE i can not wake up from. Forever wondering why Selena isn't living out all the sucess and stardom J.LO's experiencing and having right now, not being NEARLY as good & talented of a singer as Selena was.

I've loved her since the early 1989. I was struck by her overwhelmingly warmth and purity with which the entertainment industry severely lacks. When I think of the great things she was about to go on to,and how she would of surpassed any and all female artist out there, and I mean ALL, and then to have that "THING" take her life I just break down like I was a little girl. . For me it's as powerful a loss as losing the Kennedys & King all at once.
