They have done everything they could with FF7, and it only got so many sales because fanboys were excited over Tifa's polygons and deemed it the best fantasy ever, Which it is far from truth. And any true fantasy fan can tell you that.

look FF7 is done. The beginning middle and end has been told. There is nothing left to do with it. As for other fantasies in the series, there is still more that could be told.

So a prequel to FFX would more than likely happen before a remake of a finished story.

FFVII had loose ends that werent covered in VII, VII had to be popular or else why would it be extended?

X had no reason to be extended, Tidus never existed its OVER, hence why X-2 FAILED. VIII is MY Favorite FF, But i know damn well VII > X anyday of the week .

@herofromthedark Jecht didn't disappear on purpose. He went out to sea for training, and met with Sin, transporting him to Spira. Jecht would verbally berate Tidus so Tidus could grow up to not believe what his old man would say to him, but to prove him wrong.

I didn't write that he disappeared on purpose- only that he was no longer there when Tidus was 7. Which means that all of the things he would say to Tidus were things he said to him prior to Tidus being 8 years old. Telling a 7 or 8 year old he's never gonna become anything, or never going to measure up to his father is extremely destructive to a child. Maybe, MAYBE if tidus was a teen, that type of language would be somewhat acceptable, but a 7 year old? I can't imagine it'd be good

I think all characters were awesome in their own ways, ya know I sometimes wish SE would make FFX-3 and release it as PS3 exclusive, because final fantasies are supposed to be played on a sony system. Braska has very little development and could be turned into a badass, we all know Jecht is a pimp but we could watch the transformation from drunken jerk to a more respectable hero, and we can watch Auron turn from the snob into an all around badass.

I've played the idea of an expansion to the FFX universe. The first idea I came up with would be another sequel, maybe one involving Seymour making a return. half n' half on that. As good as the ideas I have are, I wouldn't trust the staff with the material if I could. They'd fuck it up like X-2.

But, as many have said, I think a prequel about Braska, Jecht and Auron would be a fabulous idea, I'd love to see em on a PS3 with pumped up graphics, back story, its a huge opportunity.
