nice one. i've always liked vishwa mohan's playing. btw, its just an ordinary guitar which has additional sympathetic strings. funny,here in south india no one has seen slide guitar,but in calcutta,almost every house has one of these instruments

Its not a guitar. Its called a "mohan veena", invented by him.

i thought brig bhusan kabra was the first acclaimed indian classical guitar player,,,biswa mohan bhatta indianized in many ways,(HIS CONTRIBUTION),,its not invention,,just the naming,,,,,,actually "VIVEK PLAYING AALAP PORTION OF INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC",,THATS ME....BUT I WAS WONDERING IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE mohan VENNA IN U S ,,,ANY WAY THANKS DOC

and he plays it like a lap steel with the slide horizontally.. he hits the strings in a chikari-like style which I don't like.. it seems non-rhythmic and intrusive
