  • This is simply amazing....the magic of Indian classical music!

  • The guitar player seems familar...was he in the band, or the background with the band in the Classical Indian part of the concert for George Harrison, a year after Harrisons death?

  • one of the breath taking performances i have ever seen. could any body kindly tell me where can i find /buy this guitar

  • Its not a guitar. Its called a "mohan veena", invented by him.

  • thanks doc,, my concern was how could i buy the mohan veena like this?

i thought brig bhusan kabra was the first acclaimed indian classical guitar player,,,biswa mohan bhatta indianized in many ways,(HIS CONTRIBUTION),,its not invention,,just the naming,,,,,,actually "VIVEK PLAYING AALAP PORTION OF INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC",,THATS ME....BUT I WAS WONDERING IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE mohan VENNA IN U S ,,,ANY WAY THANKS DOC

  • and he plays it like a lap steel with the slide horizontally.. he hits the strings in a chikari-like style which I don't like.. it seems non-rhythmic and intrusive

  • @quiptic it actually is a guitar, but its been modified so you're both right

  • Thank you Rajshri for your great work.

  • Wow, beautiful sound out of the guitar.

  • @astrospirit its not a guitar its a mohan veena

  • I am personally very closely associated with Pt.Vishwamohanji and I have seen that 5 out of 10 of his live programmes,he loves to do jugalbandi, that is duet with someone or the other!

  • wah . amazing

  • great raag played on Guitar.Exellent

  • We need more people like you Rajshri. Great job! You might be wondering why only a few people have viewed your video and why there are no comments. This is because people either find Western or Bollywood music more appealing than Indian classical music or simply they do not understand Indian classical music. But there are a few people who keep looking for good music but fail to find. For such people, videos like this are a great motivation. So please keep it up!

  • Long but excellent!
