The fundraising problem with Congress is true, and pervasive. But it's been going on decades. What's new right now IS the minority's obstruction. For the first time in the history of our nation, the minority power is committed to voting "no" even on policy they agree with. That's what's stymied Obama. A majority of Democrats were willing to stick it to special interests, and regulate banks and Wall Street, and create a public option.
Id like to see all of these rotten Commies get on a boat and ove to Venezuela and Cuba to live. Normal Americans would gladly trade this minority of malcontents and dopes for hardworking freedom lovers in those rotten countries. We encourage all employers to fire liberals toute de suite.
Many excellent points, which we the people must address head on.
However, Larry's answers to the question he poses at 1:40, discount legitimate resistance to some of the POTUS goals, and presume they were universally worthy.
Overdub your audio with better quality and make a point without your emotional vocal sentiment. Great idea but you sound young and emotionally disjunct. Btw, telling people what YOU think isn't the best way to get them to think like you, convince us! In that, your video isn't effective. Please try again! I think you have some great points.
And who has complete control of congress? The democrats! What are you trying to say, the democrats cannot do anything right? Ok, I can live with that cause its so true!
Right, and the Republicans had control of the house and senate during Bush's presidency and they weren't doing anything right either. The problem cannot be attributed to political parties; the argument being made here is that the problem stems from all politicians needing to cozy up to corporations just so they can get reelected, and this is not how a democracy should operate.
It's nice and simultaneously disheartening to know that I can make a more rational and civil argument than someone with supposedly two decades of experience more than me. You could always try, oh I don't know, supporting your position rather than resorting to puerility and name-calling, or even finding the rational flaws in my reasoning which, like all things, may not be sound. But I guess that sort of thing is too much to ask for on YouTube. Silly, dumbass me.
@AngryStudioEngineer no if you watched the whole thing you would have heard that with 20 years of republican presidents you don't see smaller government either. Meaning they didn't accomplish what on of their main goals is either. He is saying that government, that's both sides, cater to the people with the money, that being big business and special interests. We need to make it so its us who gives them money not big business.
Mr. Batmanrocker, like the majority of society you are both undereducated and a poor listener. The video mentions Teddy Roosevelt a great President who "trust busted" cared about the poor and nature. A very conservative man who was also compassionate. It wasn't all about money like the current conservative's in control. With regard to FDR, another great President that steered this country out of another Wall Street debacle. I suggest you find new news sources or maybe just listen better.
batmanrocker is not only undereducated but also dosen't listen well. Both part of the problem with the American public today. The video mentions Teddy Roosevelt, a man that railed against monopolies, fought for the poor and protected nature. I suggest that Mr rocker find sources other than Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh for his information. Maybe listen to the words that come out of the Presidents mouth?
@batman: I'd say American Socialism got its start a little sooner, perhaps with Teddy Roosevelt and his attempts to dismantle big corporations, or perhaps with Lincoln creating a national railroad or passing the Homestaead Act, or maybe a there was a precursor in Hamilton's nationalization of the Revolutionary War debt and his heavy excise taxes. And maybe FDR pushed that "socialist" agenda to appease the spreading Communist party in America so that we WOULDNT collapse into totalitarianism.
glad to hear that issue

This comment has received too many negative votes show
interesting comparison to FDR, and right on. The father of American socialism. What a ridiculous loser.
