what is this jay-z song called this my shit but i never knew the name ..and lamar odom one of the best point-forwards along with magic johnson, lebron james, scottie pipen !
Lamar is def one of the better all around players since the days of Pippen, Grant Hill Jason Kidd... he reminds me of a thinner version of Derrick Coleman! DC was a 6'10 lefty who could do it all but never really went to his full potential even though he was an all-star 2 or 3 times and averaged 20ppg for a few seasons!
@SirRiley2 : really derrick coleman? good comparison but to me he actually reminds me of cliff robinson. coleman was more of a power house these 2 were more finesse PF's
If bill walton is a hall of famer then my nigga LO is too...Fuck what the haters gotta say, other than the true laker fans nobody knows how good lamar is, when Kobe went down with the injury in 05, lamar took over and boy did he deliver.. I wish lamar could just start over artest , that nigga ron aint the same ron from the pacers, he's need a starter anymore..smh at phil jackson, wasted season last year..
Lamar is one of the most talented players in the league and is skilled in every aspect of the game. He truly could be a top 10 player in the league if only he didnt struggle so much with his mental game. He can play any position with above average ability and could be a triple-double threat on any given night. It is sad to see him coming off the bench when his potential should make him the face of any franchise in the league. No exaggeration, watch him play
lamar should be a starter not 6th man. i know hes starting now but only because bynum is injured. look at his numbers now and compare them to when he was a permanent starter. beasttt
@manny24lal whoa calm down buddy. i already know that. lamar's role is completely different when he is a starter vs. from the bench. obviously you didnt think of andrew bynum making the 2nd unit stronger but in a different way. gg

Theres a reason why many writers and reporters say that if Lamar Odom plays at a high level the Lakers are unbeatable. Hes versatile enough to play multiple positions. He's a prototypical Point Forward who can pass, drive, and rebound. If he improved his shooting percentage especially from the trey Odom can still be a dangerous player.
@james24mc nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hes too inconsistent . he can be good but he slacks off too much . guys invisible at crucial tmes so yeah i just thik that the main reason hes on the bench . hes a very good high quality role/ bench player. but he could never be a starteron most teams . well except the clippers lol hes just the one of the best sixth man in the nba but nothing more. hes talented
he plays hard all the time he just needs to be more on a consistent basis and even coming off the bench he could average 18ppg,15rpg,and about 4 to 6 dimes a game.
@SupraOps28 18 and 15 and 4 . yeah right they guy never has done that even when he did start . those are all star numbers not mediocre numbers hes put in his career.lamar is not a allstar hes a bench player that plays his role . if he was capable of such numbers then why is he coming off the bench . you are overrated this guyhe plays his role good but not consistent enough to be starting .i mean vinny johnson came off the bench but hes not a allstar
Lamar is going to need to come up big if we are to defend our title successfully. Needs to score around 15 to 20 points a game and be aggressive offensively.
@playap23 10 rpg . he's very good rebounder. buth thouse number would be if he woun't be playing in LA and if he would be number 1 or 2 player in the team
@playap23 if he's the star player of the team he'd do that. but he defines himself as a role player, and he wants to win championships more than anything.
@playap23 He's a better rebounder than 7 a game, give him 10 a game but not 25 ppg, maybe 23 or 22. He has all the talent needed to play ball anyways.
This is Lamar at his best such a shame that now he cant show his talent partly due to Kobe hogging the ball on practicalyy every play. but mainly due to tthe arrival of Artest
He doesn't need Hedo's skills he has enough but he is just super lazy. I wish he showed up more for the games man seriously. He has soo much talent and he is wasting it!!

you said phil jackson did not score any points?do you know that until phil jackson came to the lakers kobe or shaq or jordan were not able to win rings.
I f like lakers fans are saying that they don't wanna pay 10 millions a year for a player that come off the bench,it's simple, let him go somewhere else and we will see if they repeat.Very simple.Learn basketball history. That's what i did when i was younger,so when there will be a debate i will know the facts. And i'm not past 30 years old yet
you dont what your talking about first of all.the lakers wouldnt mind giving him long term if he didnt beg for 10 million..i mean 5 years for 50 million for a player thats going to come off the bench and a player that scores 20 points one night and 5 points the next........Phil Jackson is part of the reason the Lakers won ....I didnt see phil jackson score any points or play any minutes..He coached the Laker team played and if he goes to Miami hell never get out of the first round again..IDIOT!
you said phil jackson did not score any points?do you know that until phil jackson came to the lakers kobe or shaq or jordan were not able to win rings.

LAMAR YOU ALREADY HAVE 100 million dollars WTF ARE YOU THINKING? FIRE YOUR SOB AGENT! SIGN WITH THE LAKERS! or else, you will too be sadly forgotten.choice is yours buddy, thanks for the memories!
Lamar has the chance of being the GREATEST 6th MAN in NBA HISTORY! has the chance of passing the beloved name of Scottie Pippen, has the chance of cementing his name in the Legacy of Kobe Bryant, has the chance of being considered one of the greatest Laker to ever live, has the chance of getting 3 to 4 rings and eventually becoming Kobe Bryants right hand and he has the chance of seeing his jersey go up when he retires
to all of those. he will never be kobe's right hand man. he couldn't be kobe's right hand man for three seasons because he just isn't that good. and he not even better as the blazer's scottie pippen, much less even close to the bull's scottie pippen.
he's DEFINATELY better than the blazers pippen... and the bulls pippen did pretty much the same thing that Lamar does now... the only difference was that pippen had a killer mentality and Lamar is too damn calm all the time..... and i believe he still has a chance to do all that, if he gets his head on straight and re-signs with the Lakers
Bulls Pippen was similar to Odom on offense, a but a more consistent shooter, but in addition he was the single most versatile as well as possibly the greatest perimeter help defender of all time. Odom is a decent defender in the post, but does not rotate well nor can he stay in front of players on the perimeter.
Bulls Pippen was a killer shooter at 47 percent. Lamar is also a killer shooter when he shoots at 60+ percent (stats verified by espn).. the only difference is that Pippen was the 2nd option therefore he had to step up, Lamar just chills and steps up when it matters
on defense... these past two seasons, Lamar has pretty much slowed down Lebron, and shut down stoudamire, and contained howard.. like i said.. when HE WANTS, he can be the MVP... i hope he re-signs today!!!
exactly... ive always thought of lamar as having more than what he shows us.... to me hes an underachiever... even though his underachieving skills have been enough to help us win the title...

you said phil jackson did not score any points?do you know that until phil jackson came to the lakers kobe or shaq or jordan were not able to win rings.
And i'm not past 30 years old yet

kobe, buss could not get odom to re-sign,now they trying artest
as simple as that
Odom wants a long term contract, what part of long term the lakers don't understand? 3 years is not a long term,5 years is
Do like james posey, secure your family long term, you already got the ring.
Don't use your heart when negotiating a contract, use your head
Posey got the ring but still left the celtics, same for ariza
What makes you think that phil jackson will coach after 2010?he is the reason you won
go to miami
googs2007 2 years ago
you dont what your talking about first of all.the lakers wouldnt mind giving him long term if he didnt beg for 10 million..i mean 5 years for 50 million for a player thats going to come off the bench and a player that scores 20 points one night and 5 points the next........Phil Jackson is part of the reason the Lakers won ....I didnt see phil jackson score any points or play any minutes..He coached the Laker team played and if he goes to Miami hell never get out of the first round again..IDIOT!

Lamar has the chance of being the GREATEST 6th MAN in NBA HISTORY! has the chance of passing the beloved name of Scottie Pippen, has the chance of cementing his name in the Legacy of Kobe Bryant, has the chance of being considered one of the greatest Laker to ever live, has the chance of getting 3 to 4 rings and eventually becoming Kobe Bryants right hand and he has the chance of seeing his jersey go up when he retires
ryderzdelight 2 years ago
uh. no.
to all of those. he will never be kobe's right hand man. he couldn't be kobe's right hand man for three seasons because he just isn't that good. and he not even better as the blazer's scottie pippen, much less even close to the bull's scottie pippen.
Al112987 2 years ago
he's DEFINATELY better than the blazers pippen... and the bulls pippen did pretty much the same thing that Lamar does now... the only difference was that pippen had a killer mentality and Lamar is too damn calm all the time..... and i believe he still has a chance to do all that, if he gets his head on straight and re-signs with the Lakers
ryderzdelight 2 years ago
Uh. No.
Al112987 2 years ago
Uh. Yea!
PEACE!!
ryderzdelight 2 years ago
exactly... ive always thought of lamar as having more than what he shows us.... to me hes an underachiever... even though his underachieving skills have been enough to help us win the title...
5t4ytru3 2 years ago
no more laker, wonder where hell land.....
MrSanchez32 2 years ago
if lamar was consistent
he'd be up their with the all-stars
in my opinion he's an all-star when he plays at his best
i hope the lakers re-sign him! they need to
