Not sure if you can say that the 'catholic church' as we know it today - pope, virgin mary, the whole pantheon of the blessed and saint - was the 'first' church, because you already had a community of christians when there was not yet a bishop of rome, which would later become the pope.

But yeah, compared to all other Christian traditions, the catholic one is the oldest that remains.
