hmm you can buy a ATi Radeon hd 5870 or you can buy a cheap graphic card the 9400 or 9600 GT nvidia with 1gb ddr2 i think they all are min 350 watts

Both of them also the 9400 and the 9600 doesnt cost more then 100 $ the 9400 cost so 60 $ and the 9600 so 80 or 90 $

Not with a 9400. A PS3 and even a 360 can run these graphics on mega-high with a resolution of 1920x1080, full 1080p. Your rig can't do that no matter what with this card and keep up a steady framerate.

a 9400 may not be that powerfl but a GTX 295 will kick ass my PS3 ass and a not so lovable 360 ass the soncoles run so smoothly is because they are enhance for that specific console

Yeah, the 295GTX will annihilate pretty much anything on the market right now, even the consoles. It's never fair to compare console to PC since PC is always upgrading, wheras the consoles only upgrade once every few years.

Dudes I have 1gb Version of 9400 gt and I play L4D on 1024x1280 16qsaa trilinear buffering and 8x anti aliasing at 45 fps

I dont think u should max out even at 1048x785 at a higher settings ur gona suffer from frame rate issue so its best if u get a GTX 9800
