Love It thanks Have that album recorded on c.d. and maybe even wore out a copy of it as my "background" music one summer in my shop! Appreciate it ! Rick Wichita Ks.
@Factnotfictionpeople Weldon Myrick played pedal steel on the whole album. Lloyd Green's great, but it's not him. All you have to do is look at the album credits on the back - if you have the album, which I do. :)

I can hear the CanadianPacificRailway train crossing happily and powerful the Stoney Creek Bridge near the Rogers Pass in the British Columbian part of The Rocky Mountains ... oooohhh!

@wichitarick Glad you're enjoying my postings of Chet's fabulous legacy.

Just guessing - but I'd say the Pedal Steel player is Lloyd Green. Anyone know for sure? :-)

@Factnotfictionpeople According to the Wikipedia page for 'Superpickers,' pedal steel was handled by Mr. Weldon Myrick. Sound great either way!

Doug,
Was this song on that old "Superpickers" album with Chet and a bunch of his friends?

You are correct! it was Chet and the Nashville studio musicians who always backed up Chet and many others.

Thanks, Doug, for stirring great memories of riding around in my 70' Mustang fastback with this song on an old 8 track.
I first heard this song on an old Hank Snow album back in the 60s. George Hamilton IV had a great arrangement of it too.
Thanks for posting!!

One of my favorites! I love that echo and the skillful way Chet employs it!

I always associate this with George Hamilton IV, but this inst version is played in pure Chet Atkins style - very melodic.

@trojan0150 I agree 100%

I have searched for this song for years . I thought I was the only person who remembered that it even existed.
