Whenever anyone comes over or he get's nervous he always looks around for the dogs and, given the chance, always retreats toward them whenever approached or nervous. Even more interesting is he has this knack for dealing with other dogs as well when going over to other people's houses. It's pretty cool :)
I was once ignorant myself, after dating my boyfriend for a few months I found out how loyal and loving american pitbull terriers really are. I have been bit by a dog before (to everyones amazement, it was my very own Cocker Spaniel) so I know what its like to be scared... It has now been 4 years I have been living with my boyfriend and our two dogs... I would NEVER NEVER give up my pit for anything....
That dog could snap that baby's head before the owner could do a thing about it. It amazes me the stupidity and irresponsibility of these owners and the chances they take.
The US averages 26 dog fatalities per year. There were an estimated 6,356,000 car accidents in the US in 2000. There were about 3.2 million injuries and 41,821 people were killed in auto accidents in 2000. So, you tell me, where is he more likely to be injured or die? Heck, It is reported that more than 2,000 children in the U.S. die of child abuse and neglect each year. So, basically, parents are more dangerous to babies then any dog.
The problem is the media focuses on such things as dog attack because they ARE rare and because it brings far more interest and ratinng then another "ho hum" car crash that killed a toddler. The bottomline, sir, is YOU are a victim of propaganda and ignorance.

@FckUyoutoobwatcher3 Many folks who own Pit Bulls know the truth and they are a very loyal and loving dog. The reason there is fear surrounding them is they were also built not to be bluffers. Most dogs just make noise or nip and run. Pit Bulls were raised that when it's on...it's on until the end. They have a VERY high spirit and incredible focus of will.
